27th Jul 2024 (7 weeks ago)Throwing a single father out two days before Christmas all because landlady wants to up the rent ridiculously. I Asked for renovation (house full of mold and rotten plasterboard black mold in my son's room and just in a state of disrepair,) i said I'll pay the extra rent. So then they say we are selling up. Absolute bunch of Pillock's you have just made a 7 year old child and his single father with a heart condition with limited capability, homeless because you want your cut of the sale of the property he is renting. And not even offering anything else or any support. Been renting 5 years from you prats and now am taking It to every possible legal action to balls your plans. Stay away from this estate agents they only care about the cash. They blatantly don't care about tenants and they swindle you with rental signings. They don't provide adequate maintenance and dismiss black mold. The house was a mess on moving in took 3 years to get a new kitchen as the old one that was already in on moving in was rotting. Cutting corners on the new kitchen. Room doors not fitted correctly, cheap handles on doors house poor state all over. I also have ex tenant's to back me in how shabby the house was for them an still is. I suggest you cough up or offer me another rental near my badly disabled mother as I am at the back of her at the moment and i am her carer. 22nd October 2023 not long enough to get situated elsewhere an you know it. Broomheads you don't want to go down this rd believe me. ???? And no we find out it's been let to the Land lords Daughter F you Landlord and Broomheads.
27th Aug 2024 (15 days ago)We have had experience of dealing with John Goodwin Estate Agents for more than 3 years whilst helping first a relative and then when looking for our own home. In that time, we dealt with numerous Estate agents across Herefordshire, Gloucestershire, and Worcestershire. Some were okay, many were appalling, and some stood out as excellent, with genuine hard-working staff who had not only their own clients, but the customer's interests at heart too. John Goodwin is clearly in this final category. Not simply because they found us our home, but because throughout the entire experience, they treated us with kindness, respect, listened to our needs, and offered help in any way they could. Always professional, they ensured we were kept informed of potential properties and bent over backwards to accommodate us with viewings. When we finally found the right property, they continued to work with us and support us through the whole process, offering recommendations for other professional services, such as Surveyors and Solicitors and ensuring all continued to go smoothly. Having been used to an entirely different system in Scotland, we were grateful for the advice and guidance provided. Although we didn’t experience selling a property with them, I certainly wouldn’t hesitate to use them if I were to sell. I cannot recommend them enough to any prospective purchaser and just wish that more Estate agents in England offered a similar service. Thank you!!

From the first management of the bidding process to the handover of the keys on completion Tom’s was a calm and reassuring voice. We are confident that he served the Vendors well but from the moment our offer was accepted we felt he was on our side too. The very few issues were smoothly managed. A personal touch throughout.

I would highly recommend them
25th Mar 2021 (3 years ago)Keen to start with and good at supplying statistics, but slow to respond to emails and some emails not replied to. Telephone communication was good and received feed back after all viewings expect final viewing. Unable to convert high percentage of interest into viewings. Not all that impressed with professional photographer who didn't take pictures of some rooms, which we had to take ourselves. Didn't receive copy of printed brochure until contract was coming to an end and didn't receive copy of video.

We were on with another agent for several months with no luck so we went on with Stooke to get things moving and in the first day of viewings it sold with not just one but three offers, Sam’s attention to detail is exceptional. Both Sam and Lyn are a huge credit to the team being so attentive and helpful throughout the whole process. Lyns tenacity is second to none and overall made the whole moving process a lot less stressful for us. Thanks again all.

Amy Meldrum-Beechey kept us fully informed about potential properties, some of which we viewed. Whilst on this occasion we selected a property being marketed by a different agent, we experienced the same quality of service from Savills as a prospective purchaser that we did as a vendor.

15th Aug 2024 (27 days ago)I cannot recommend Free Agent enough! We sold our house with Free Agent in April after having an awful experience with Connels. We were under time pressure as we were moving location and Daniel, Chanelle and the team were incredible! From the first meeting with Daniel where he honestly valued my house and showed me what else was going in the market, he gave me a lot of background knowledge and made me feel at ease straight away. Daniel and Chanelle then came to do the photos and videos of my property and they were outstanding! I loved the fact that Free Agent do a video for social media as it is very current and properties get much more interest this way! Within 24 hours of my house going on the market, I had 5 viewings booked it! It was insane! My house went online on the Thursday and sold the following a Tuesday! It was previously up with Connels and I had no viewings for 6 weeks! Even once my sale had been confirmed, Chanelle’s communication was second to none. She would regularly send me messages to see if I needed anything from her or if she needed to chase the sellers for anything. Communication was outstanding. As we have now moved down south, we unfortunately won’t get to use Free Agent again but I would use them again in a heart beat and would recommend to anyone selling their house!!
18th Mar 2024 (25 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
