14th Mar 2024 (19 weeks ago)Lack of communication and not pro-active as I had to instigate them doing anything. Pricing is terrible everything is an extra add on with vat on everything. Too expensive for lack of contact and or proactivity.

As first-time buyers, we were quite anxious about the process, but it turned out to be remarkably smooth and stress-free which is down to Ralph Sayer. Our offer was submitted and accepted within just two hours, and we moved into our new home within six weeks without any issues. We had countless questions as first-time buyers, but every one of them was answered promptly and thoroughly. 2nd Jul 2024 (25 days ago)I appreciate the staffs and their efforts. However, very unfortunately, at least some (if not all) pictures of the properties are too old and so are misleading. I drove 3.5 hours to Stirling to view the property at 10A Upper Craigs, to which I said I was even ready to pay the deposit even without viewing the property. The advertised images were fantastic but when I was stressed to come for a viewing, and I did, it was a messed up property which had all doors broken, walls leaking/dripping, punch-broken doors, hung cabinets and unclean floor and shelfs. The place also had bugs and insects and showed no signs of maintenance.

We really appreciate all that he did and the advice he gave. We would highly recommend him and Westgate Estate Agents for selling a house.

They were super efficient, helpful with advice and in constant communication with us which we really appreciated. We needed a quick sale and Suzanne organised everything so that we could list in a matter of days. We then sold our house in under a week thanks to the viewings set up by the team. Would definitely recommend!

Sylvia dealt with the process from the start through to sale when it was passed on to McDougall McQueen to deal with the legal side. Sylvia was excellent, explained the process, answered all my questions really quickly and was always available. The legal side of the sale was dealt with Susan Oates from McDougal McQueen. Susan was very efficient, answered all my questions quickly, was very approachable and got things done. I have no hesitation in recommending Sylvia and McDougall McQueen.

Very reasonable prices too and great transparency about fees, timing expectations etc. Would strongly recommend.

5th Jul 2024 (22 days ago)BE VERY CAREFUL!!! Once these lot have your deposit they ignore you. We agreed to buy a buy to let from these and went through the mortgage application with our own agent. We then found out they had overvalued thr property by a fair amount, not allowing us to get a mortgage. We were then told we had to use their mortgage person, which cost us another £300 but we had no option. They also could not get us a mortgage because the value was less than 50k. Upon telling these lot, they are now ignoring our calls, you can't speak to the refund team as only on email, no managers have phones and they won't give us our deposit back even though it states we are entitled to it back for following their stipulations. I'm no being ignored by the salesman Jack and no one will return emails etc. I will be taking this to the Ombudsman too, to highlight this appalling service and blatant overvalued to gain mortgage applicants. They had the same listing on their site for £52,500 and £46,000. We found this after we had agreed a price. So be very careful not to deal with these people. They are rude and have total lack of customer service once they have your deposit. Zero stars from me!!!
