1st Jul 2021 (3 years ago)We recently purchased a house in Harrow-on-the-Hill where Squires were acting for the sellers. I can honestly say that it was the best experience of having an agent on the other side that I have had. Mr Chand was extremely helpful in ensuring that the transaction moved at pace (our offer was accepted on 29 May 2021, we completed on 30 June 2021) and was always contactable and responsive. If you are looking for an estate agent, you could not do better.

10th Aug 2020 (4 years ago)At the start the relationship was positive and friendly. A for sale board was requested but, never placed. We did not received feedback from the few viewings we had and unsure whether buyer/ viewer suitability checks were carried out - especially at these times with heightened cleaning and sanitising that needs to happen. We also received marketing letters although we were already with them and the claims on them we challenged as this was not reflecting our experiences. Communication was far for acceptable with not following up with promises to call by a certain time/ date and not responding to emails readily. To add to this they wanted us to drop the price of our property when realistically had not done enough to market it. Very disappointing and felt like we lost an amount of time with no progress.

19th Dec 2024 (26 weeks ago)What are the estate agent playing at, they are now selling a 4 bed house in Elder way Ampthill for £40000 over valuation price, this is a shared ownership property only recently valued at £510,000 Are they that desperate.. And a building society or bank will have a say on this, beware as you could lose thousands of pounds

They provided very poor investment advice which resulted in a big financial loss. I doubt if I ever get my money back. Additionally, some 30 investors that were invested in the same investment had big financial loss as well. The business model of Alesco is based on very aggressive marketing. They put much pressure on you to buy, and the only thing they care about is sales at the expense of the investor. They are immoral and do not care about you and your hard earned money. I have been trying to reach out and talk to them but they avoid and lie to me systematically. I left another review in the past which was positive, but it was very early on and before I realised what is going on and lost my money. Never invest with Alesco.

18th Mar 2025 (13 weeks ago)Very unprofessional company. Zero respect for tenants or their property. I’ve complained three times about agents and prospective buyers entering the property without permission or notice, every time I’ve been assured it won’t happen again only it does. I only find out because I can see people in my property on the security cameras. The second time the agent / valuation team left the front door unlocked, which was left this way until I went back into the property the next day. Lights left on, floors left dirty, fire doors left open on every occasion they’ve entered!! An empty apology from the manager each time but nothing changes, now having to resort to changing the locks to protect my business and its security. This company is a major red flag and if you are looking to use them to sell a property I would avoid !!

Despite maintaining the property in excellent condition and adhering to all guidelines, they unfairly deducted a significant portion of my deposit for issues that were either exaggerated or simply fabricated. It felt as though they were looking for any excuse to take money from me, regardless of whether the claims were valid. Communication was also frustrating, with the agents being evasive and uncooperative when I tried to dispute the charges. It became clear that they prioritize taking as much from tenants as possible over being fair or reasonable

On the surface all looks well but due to the way they have handled the sales of a family members house and then lying to a friend of mine who was trying to buy the house next door. They told him the house had been sold when infact it had not and they were trying to stop him switching to a different property to purchase. I won't be using them to buy or sell properties going forward.
