9th Sep 2023 (1 year ago)We needed to get the house on the market as quickly as possible and branch manager Melanie Fairness made time to meet us and agree a valuation and a marketing strategy. She took excellent pictures and quickly produced details, which she forwarded to us for approval, and once the house was online Melanie kept us fully informed of viewings and the reaction of the potential buyers, positive and negative. Within a month we had several offers and accepted one of them for close to the asking price. Altogether Red Hot Property provided a professional service and made selling the property a simple and stress-free process.

31st Jan 2022 (2 years ago)I have never sold a house before so I was a complete novice. I think they probably would agree that the property was a bit too far away to give a proper service. It was 40 mins away. They should not have taken it on The staff in the office were always unfailingly polite. When my son had given them a rocket, the property then sold. I thought (as it turned out) the property was put on at an unrealistic price and although I agreed that price with the Agent, I should in retrospect taken other Agents advice. The other Agents were completely correct as to what it fetched. I read all the information about how to sell houses too late. I have learned a lot.

Jennifer Kendrew and Ben Pridden in particular always provided me with realistic and practical advice from start to finish and worked professionally and tirelessly to achieve a sale. Other parties in our chain caused a great many difficulties but the experienced staff at Savills solved them all and where she was able to Jennifer led the chain and drove the pace of the sale when others seemed reluctant to take the initiative. I could not asked for better service and would recommend Savills at York to anyone considering appointing an agent.
18th May 2023 (1 year ago)Huge thank you to Jeanette snd Mary who helped with the purchase of our new home. It was quite stressful for us at times and we had a few (a lot!) bumps in the road. We were very dependent on the team especially towards the end of the buying process for many reasons. I truly believe without their help on an almost daily basis we would still be waiting for the sale to have been finalised. We are now 4 weeks in our new home and are so happy. The stress long forgotten. The team are Very professional, very “on it” and also want to do the best for the buyer. Thank you all.

From sale and purchase through to completion they were professional, knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. Tess in particular handled our sale/purchase progression and was, without doubt, the most helpful and competent person we dealt with throughout any of the transactions. On so many occasions her knowledge helped us to keep the transactions progressing. She recognised our situation and did absolutely everything she could, going above and beyond, to support us at a very stressful time. Thanks very much!

They moved me into a flat with no working plumbing which they knew prior to the start date but neglected to tell me, they ignore emails and texts, their staff gaslight you, they turn up at your home unannounced sometimes letting themselves in and I don't think I've been treated this badly by a company ever. Do yourself a favour and deal with landlords directly. This company is not worth the premium you and the landlord have to pay and they cause more issues than they solve.

From the initial valuation to the final completion, the agents were exceptional. The professional photos and numerous viewings resulted in multiple offers in no time. Throughout the entire process, communication and support were top-notch. We were thrilled with the search for our new home, thanks to the fantastic service provided by Rachael and Terri-Leigh. We highly recommend Hive Estates for their excellent service and dedication.
18th Mar 2024 (5 mo. ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
