The house needed some work and the fact that both executors lived in London made things more difficult. Ben gave a fair idea of price and secured multiple viewings over several months in a difficult market. He was always honest in his feedback, keen to update us and absolutely determined to help us sell. We completed in October 2024. I cannot recommend him too highly.

31st Oct 2024 (6 mo. ago)My boyfriend and I are currently in the process of property searching as first time buyers and Connells have been great! Olivia has been super helpful when it comes to arranging viewing times that work for us and keeping us up to date if any other properties that match what we’re looking for come on the market. We have viewed a fair few different properties with multiple different estate agents both in England & Wales and have sometimes felt quite rushed in the past and a bit awkward like they wanna get you in & out as soon as possible but with Connells, we never feel that. Harrison has shown us a few different properties on different days and he’s great! He talks us through all the features of the properties, will thoroughly answer any questions we have about the properties and buying process, doesn’t rush us, gives us a chance to take a second look and makes the whole process just really chilled & stress free almost as if you’re viewing the properties with a mate. We’ve also seen a couple mortgage advisors both in England & Wales but hands down Rob is the best and someone who we’ll definitely be sticking with! We walked out of our first mortgage advisor meeting, looked at each other and both went “wow, he’s great, he genuinely cares” and it’s clear to see he really does care about helping his clients out to get them the best rates he can and to make the whole process as smooth as possible keeping us up to date throughout if possible lenders change etc. He’s extremely knowledgeable & informative when explaining everything from the rates to the process from start to end to ensure you know what is going on. No question is too big or small. Whether you’re a first time buyer or not, we’d recommend going with Connells Torquay to make the stressful property buying process much smoother all round! ??

6th May 2024 (1 year ago)John Couch and team where exceptional through-out our recent house sale. Nothing was too much trouble and we were kept well informed and well advised through out the process. The team’s professionalism, experience and friendly and prompt communication all helped to make a typically stressful experience so much less so. We felt in very good hands though-out and we can’t thank the team enough.

Specifically Vicky who we have been dealing with directly. She is extremely good at her job and anyone looking at using your move i would recommend her 100%

16th Mar 2024 (1 year ago)I removed my house to another agent after the agreed period because Taylors were awful. They overpriced the house to begin with which resulted in no viewings whatsoever (365,000) I was told they would come and put a board up in the front garden but never happened. The photos that were taken of my property were done on a mobile phone which were poor with no lighting and no use of a drone which had been spoken about previously. I had no communication until just before Christmas when they phoned and asked if I would agree to put my house in the Boxing Day sale at a reduced price of £350,000 to which I agreed to. Still no viewings and no communication until just before the end of the agreed date they called and asked if they could show a couple around which they did. A few days later I emailed them to get feedback on the viewing and changed agents. I would definitely not recommend Taylors.

6th Mar 2024 (1 year ago)If you are thinking of a house move, do not look any further than Gerald and Kim at Pincombes to assist you along the way. From start to finish, from the marketing, house viewings, and finally to completion they made sure I was kept up date and were always available at the end of the phone to answer any of my queries. However, at Pincombes you get a lot more than that….. You Get integrity and You Get Humour….! House moving can have its ups and downs and without fail the way in which Gerald and Kim handled situations is what made the difference. I cannot thank them enough for making the process as smooth as it could possibly be. Thank you both so much, Jo
18th Mar 2024 (1 year ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
14th Mar 2025 (10 weeks ago)A great team with first class service. We would totally recommend The Coastal House. Sarah and Katie looked after us throughout the process of purchasing in Kingswear. They were always on the ball, worked really hard to maintain communication with us and held our hands throughout. They could not have done any more to make this process easy. Would totally recommend and we will use again!

9th Nov 2023 (1 year ago)STAY CLEAR FROM HERE THEY WILL TELL YOU LIES they promised us that with a guarantor our bad credit wouldn't matter just so they could keep our holding fee absolute horrible company don't fall for there tricks , my wife became very sick after dealing with these crooks, every bit of information that we knew about which was most was revealed to them and after they convincing us with a guarantor this couldn't happen they still kept it , legal action is the only way you will get your money bk We have been through the complaint procedure with no success this is exactly what you want people to do when there homeless or nearly homeless you do this and hope people will roll over lie and more lies
