Phoned as serious cash buyer about a property. Asking about ownership and covenants in relation to shared access and maintenance of area leading to property and others nearby. Did not have this info at all bar “there’s no management arrangement” which was put as a positive as it would ‘cost nothing’ (no recognition that this could also cause huge issues about access, parking, repair and dumping), and never returned call with requested information despite this being something the land title might cover in respect of covenants - and something the existing owner’s legal advisors would have had to dealt with on their purchase. I purchased a house recently where Knight Frank acted as the agent. The chain was relatively big which meant that a number of challenges had to be overcome. Shocked by the lack of professionalism; when the mortgage valuation came back lower than the original offer, a particular ‘partner’ lost his polite persona and started blaming us for the price discrepancy. He even threatened us via email with lies. My understanding is that estate agents should have developed skills in negotiation. The ‘partner’ did not allow any until we were contemplating walking away from the table. Due to our recent experience we will not be selling or purchasing through this company again and won’t be recommending it to any of our friends, family or colleagues.... Read more

Samantha from the Wells office carried out my evaluation and she was professional, helpful and thorough in her explanation of the various choices I had with regards to marketing my property. She was able to explain how she had arrived at the market value she recommended and had clearly done her research before our appointment. (Re FROME office LETTINGS) The worst letting agent I have dealt with. Terrible communication. Rudeness. Terrible customer service. Not adhering to contract on several occasions. Broken items (under contract) in home left unfixed for lengthy period - had to fix myself.Not returning deposit (still waiting, and being told I need to wait longer, contrary to TDS rules) in set period. When I stated that I would seek legal advice, and leave an appropriate review, I was told not to use 'threatening language'. Avoid at all costs. Appalling company. Appalling attitude. (sorry this review is in respect of the FROME office managed by Ms Kate Shipp - an appallingly rude person and totally unprofessional. The senior lettings person is Holly Sturman, who accused me today of using 'threatening language' towards her - when I stated how disappointed I was in their company, that they were not paying back the deposit when they should! (I made no remarks to her personally - simply about the company - which I have a right to do) - and that I was to make a formal complaint about them and contact a solicitor. They have contravened TDS rules in respect of returning the deposit - I am still waiting for it! They are arrogant, and have no sense of customer service. The WORST letting agent I have ever come across. Dreadful.... Read more

There is a lot of positive feedbacks and I can only relay my experience. I am surprised, dissappointed and shocked that I instructed them to sell my unusual property (big garden, cellar, outbuildings etc) urgently as I had found somewhere I wanted to purchase. I explained this, I appreciate they had lots going on. But they were very slow to respond apart from taking photographs. The photographs were superb. But 3 weeks later it and still no agent had bothered to come out and look at the house (with a view to being able to discuss the property with any potential buyers) or advise on the current asking price. I tried to contact them but got no responses so edventually went through 'on the market' and also contacted their Burnham office to relay my message that I was taking my business elsewhere I was surprised at this appaulling customer service as I had previously requested a valuation visit here and was impressed at the then agent (Nick) - his enthusiasm and energy was palpable! I had mistakenly thought this level of motivation would have become embedded in the Cheddar office but sadly obviously not. I had frequenty advocated people using them to market their property.
