In the person of Jemma Corbett they let the flat within 10 days of my buying it and managed it very efficiently and with great charm. Small businesses are defined by their staff. This estate agent has a couple of good agents that are surrounded by an office of awkward, unhelpful, know it all’s. A cake on completion doesn’t make up for any of the above. Unhappy client here.

I have let two of my properties with the Clifton branch and have had a very positive experience on both occasions. The first property was let by Louise within twenty four hours and I accepted an offer higher than the original asking price. The second property was let for the asking price by Katie after only being on the market a couple of days. Louise (Senior Negotiator) provided an informative report about the local market and gave me every confidence in her ability. Katie was coherent through the whole process and updated me weekly regarding my tenants referencing process. Would highly recommend!
Asked to view a property very insistent I book to meet their mortgage advisor even though I have my own mortgage broker and already happy with the offers he has found. I booked through pressure on phone then emailed to cancel later in week when I'd had an offer accepted on a different property. He called immediately and again was adamant I meet with the mortgage advisor. He really wouldn't take no for an answer and I had to abruptly end the call. The guy seemed nice enough but sounds like they have crazy targets, or perhaps he do just lack ability to understand no.
We were absolutely delighted with the service provided by Chappell & Matthews and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. They sold our property within less than two weeks of it being on the market and provided feedback after every single viewing. They have a fantastic knowledge of the local market and area.
trying to get through to this branch is a nightmare. Never answer the phone and every time I pass by never seems to be open. Managed to speak to a man with a South African accent and he was very rude on the phone when asked why I could never get through to them. “Wasn’t his fault” we’re his words. “We are understaffed”. Avoid using them as there are better agents around they want to do business.
Having dealt with the apartment company for our first time renting, we were made to feel welcome and important. Daniel Hester was very informative and professional. Would recommend using them if your interested in premium apartments in Bath.
I cannot explain how much I would advise against ever using this company for any of your property needs.
The whole experience from start to finish was ridiculously amateurish (particularly dealing with Jon and Laine). When deciding to make an offer for a rental property we had various emails ignored and would never be rang back despite being told we would on several occasions. After going to more senior staff this was eventually sorted but there is never a feeling anything is getting done without you holding their hands.
After thinking this may have been down to one employee we were then left in the hands of Laine at departure from the property and if anything the process was worse. Rude emails accusing us of leaving the apartment in bad condition when I had taken pictures and documented the state it was in, a constant lack of communication (after being told we would receive our deposit back within 2 weeks it took over 2 months for this to happen) and frankly a lack of any drive to get stuff done.
After these two months had passed we were luckily dealt with by Sharon who sorted all of the outstanding issues within a week, and thanks to her for that.
Despite this they are still hands down the most rookie company I’ve ever dealt with and to call themselves the ‘Apartment Experts’ is a laughable statement.
