Having recently purchased a property through Lee, I wanted to acknowledge the excellent job he did throughout.<br><br>Communication is everything in this profession and Lee consistently kept everyone informed, responded promptly, and worked hard to overcome the inevitable hurdles that arise during a move. He remained calm, approachable and proactive from start to finish, which made a genuine difference.<br><br>As competitors, we’re all quick enough to criticise poor service when we see it, so it’s equally important to recognise excellence when it’s deserved. From the initial consultation, where local property values were clearly explained and a realistic selling price established, right through to completion.<br>BOP were very proactive in ensuring the selling process ran smoothly, and were always on hand to offer help and advice, as well as going above and beyond in dealing with our and our buyers' legal representatives to help iron out the inevitable issues that arose along the way.<br>By far and away the best experience I have had with an estate agent.

10th Jan 2026 (6 mo. ago)There was not much communication ,only a few viewings two were no shows, great photos. Wasn’t sure what todo so I asked if it could reduce it twice, I now think I made the wrong decision, but was not advice.

In a tricky market, the team remained committed and proactive from start to finish – qualities not always found in other agents!<br>They never lost interest or enthusiasm, they kept working hard to move the sale forward, and always kept us informed. We didn’t have to chase for updates, which made what could have been a stressful experience much easier. Lucy, Jake and Sarah showed particular professionalism, persistence and excellent communication which ultimately led to a successful sale. 11th Apr 2026 (16 weeks ago)We recently bought a house through Wilkie May & Tuckwood (which was not planned as we did have another house purchase lined up but for reasons outside of our control (very slow third parties…) this didn’t go through). Our chain below was ready to exchange but our purchase was nowhere near ready, so we had to make the decision to look at other properties as our chain looked as if it would fall apart if there was no progression. We found a house listed with Wilkie which my wife and I did fall in love with when we visited. We explained our situation to Thea and advised we would need to get the purchase through as quick as possible to try and keep our chain together. In record time (8 weeks) the house sale was through and we’ve now moved in and beginning to enjoy our new lives. Throughout the process, Richard, Thea, Mark and Vicky were incredibly helpful, responsive and friendly. I have no doubt in my mind that their work on this purchase is a big part of the reason why we were able to get the purchase through and save our chain in such a quick time. Even after the purchase had gone through, the team at Wilkie have still been willing to help with queries and questions we have about the local area and services. Honestly, if you’re looking at a house being marketed to through these guys you’re in safe hands. This is clearly a company who take pride in their work and the local area. We felt valued as buyers which was very refreshing. Thanks for everything you’ve done for our family!

Whether sharing his latest golfing or family anecdotes or diving into the nitty-gritty of contracts and small print, James has a gift for putting people at ease while ensuring clarity and precision. From our experience, one of the biggest stumbling blocks in negotiations is when parties are not fully aligned before a conversation takes place. James acts as the backdrop and container for these discussions, making sure that everyone is brought onto the same page. He keeps the conversation on track with seemingly little effort, and his ability to read situations and explain things clearly is invaluable. James’s approach is solution-focused, pragmatic, and fair. If he doesn’t immediately know the answer, he finds out quickly and comes straight back to you. What’s particularly impressive is his ethos: he seems to recognise that if one party loses, everyone does — so he works creatively to ensure the outcome benefits all sides. 11th Aug 2025 (11 mo. ago)Unlike other estate agents that we tried, EweMove are without a doubt the best estate agents around with their proffessionalism, knowledge, network, skills, dedication and enthusiasm. They were encouraging and caring during the many viewings, then once an offer was accepted they kept us constantly updated on the sale progression within the chain, which at times was more than our own solicitors managed to do.... As people now have more choice on both types of properties, locations and values, its becoming harder to sell properties, especially the larger and more costly properties, but thanks to Tom, Abi, Connor, Laura, Russell & the rest of the team we have successfully sold and exchanged contracts last week on our property and can now look forward to a new chapter in our later life's. Well done and a big thank you to the EweMove Team.

18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

The whole team were friendly, helpful and professional throughout the process. Their communication was great, and their local knowledge was invaluable, especially for anyone looking to relocate to the area. They made what can often be a stressful experience much easier. I would happily recommend Michael Adey Property to anyone buying or selling a home.
