Charging a whopping £528 claiming there were marks and scuffs to the wall when I moved out only for an independent adjudicator to prove that only £40 would suffice to repair the said marks and scuffs. Level of extortion!!

21st Feb 2026 (6 mo. ago)Having approached 3 estate agents to value the property I was most impressed by the work undertaken from the outset by Steven Goff. Although not the cheapest in terms of commission they seemed more professional than the competition. Since placing the business in their hands I have been extremely impressed by their work in relation to organising everything such as viewings and marketing and updating me at every stage. I have been most appreciative of the work undertaken by the whole team and in particular Lauren.

I made an online enquiry on Monday, received a call back on Tuesday, arranged a viewing for Thursday, and by Friday we had paid the holding deposit. The whole process was smooth, efficient, and well organised. We loved the property and were very impressed with how the viewing was conducted. Daniel, who assisted us throughout, did an excellent job. He was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable, providing all the information we needed about the property and clearly explaining the next steps. His communication was prompt and reassuring throughout the process. Based on our experience, I would highly recommend Martin & Co Sheffield to anyone looking for their next home. Nicola was very helpful from the start with the initial viewing and then again at the second viewing, The whole application was straight forward and we were updated throughout. Even on move in day Nicola went out of her way to accommodate as well as bringing us flowers and chocolate's to enjoy in our new home.

Just no communications or return calls, messages etc. Imagine if you were a buyer, would your price be communicated to the vendor with such inefficiency?

They sorted everything out weekly phone call from the team keeping me updated. First time selling a house and it was made so easy with the gleadless team.
