Lisa Sharp has dealt with the sale of my apartment. She has been friendly, professional and proactive throughout the process and I haven't needed to chase her on anything. She has also been really helpful with assisting my existing tenants and their move out of the apartment prior to sale. The only negative is the price but would still recommend.

I recently went in to Ernest Wilson to see about buying a business I had seen but it turned out to have sold that day. On arriving I had a meeting with a lovely Lady called Emma Shaw. Emma showed me some alternatives, one in the same village that caught my eye. Due to a number of issues we had a lot of negotiating regarding this but Emma and the staff where all very accommodating and solutions were met. This has now resulted in me owning my first commercial business, thank you very much Emma for all your time, patience and help during this process. I would highly recommend any first time buyer to go in and have a chat with Emma around any new venture, no matter how big or small.
Were do I start. Not updating the information as time went on not updating me not doing the work in the timescale it should have been done not advising me about something important which was left untill the last minute and should have made clear from the start not following the instructions to which they had agreed not processing my complaint and totally ignoring it on numerous occasions not keeping me informed about the progress of the work they were doing ignoring my calls and not replying to questions or phone calls, repeatedly. Even after full clear evidence was provided.
Really really poor service fron start to finish.

I put my property on the market with this company, within 2 months I had 3 different people managing the sale, not one of them gave updates and required my chasing of them. If you’re looking to sell your property quickly at a price you would like then don’t contact these guys. They will however sell it if you are willing to put it on for at least 20% less than what you would like to receive.

Danika and Oksana have been wonderful throughout the entire time I have been a tenant with them. They were easy to contact, especially when I was having some maintenance done to the apartment, and very friendly. I recently moved out (sadly as the apartment in AG1 was lovely). Danika was very considerate when arranging viewings, always checking that it was convenient to visit. I couldn't recommend Martin & Co Sheffield City Centre enough...their tenancy fees were so much more reasonable compared to other rental agencies in the area, and they made my move so easy.
Do not use these estate agents!
The poor level of service began when we were viewing the property - over 40 minutes late and when the estate agent did finally arrive they were extremely unprofessional and explained the reason they were late was due to a very bad hangover.
Despite this we liked the property and continued the process by signing our tenancy forms, when there was many confusion as the person who showed us round the property had actually left the company.
When we finally moved into the property there were several faults which we were told would be rectified in time for the moving date - this certainly did not happen, but this seems pretty standard with estate agents.
HOWEVER, the worst part of the experience became the checkout. After spending hours and hours cleaning the property and checking everything (and frankly leaving it in a better condition than when we arrived) we still managed to be fined over £110 on checkout. One of which when we raised the issue, were told this cost is just an "obvious cost" and doesn't need to be communicated prior to checkout. As a young professional, nothing is obvious when it comes to property and in addition to this, I find being fined over £50 for one light bulb outstanding.
These costs would have been acceptable if Harriet wasn't so rude and damn right obnoxious over the phone - customer service is key in such an industry, and her experience led to her believing she "knew it all". There were no apologies now that we were no longer customers and they were holding our deposit, simply threats that if we didn't accept such deductions we would incur even more costs.
I will never use Martin and Co. again and will advise anyone else to think twice before they enter a contract with them, no matter how nice the property may be.
