20th Jun 2025 (1 year ago)We’ve had our two flats in Torquay managed by Henrietta Klimkova at Haart since we relocated to the UAE in 2017. Although we faced some financial challenges along the way, Henrietta consistently delivered excellent support and maintained meticulous records. When the time came to sell in June 2025, her attention to detail and compliance with UK property management standards made the entire process significantly smoother. I’ll admit I used to question the fees—particularly for handling the property tax returns—but in hindsight, it was money well spent. I highly recommend their services, especially if you’re based overseas and need a reliable property manager. Even if it feels costly at first, trust me: when it comes time to sell, you’ll be grateful for the structure, documentation, and peace of mind they provide. Trying to manage it all yourself just to save a small amount isn’t worth the stress.

12th Jun 2025 (1 year ago)Very little communication. Took 2 weeks before a for sale board was erected. Property particulars were wrong. They told us that we had not been very accommodating to allow people to view. There were no viewers!

We went through the disappointment of waiting then losing a property and thought we may end up returning to the Midlands. The team in Dartmouth continued to suggest properties which may have worked for us and were always available for 2nd and 3rd viewings, with a smile. We finally found the property that was worth the wait and managed to complete in 7 weeks. The whole Team were really supportive and responsive but a special mention to Oscar & Michele (now retired). Couldn't have got to where we are without you. Big Thankyou

Nothing is ever too much trouble and she works tirelessly to help both parties in a transaction achieve a good outcome. We cannot overstate how good she is. We warmly recommend Harriet to buyers and sellers alike.
4th Dec 2022 (3 years ago)We chose Savills because they appeared to be the most efficient and proactive company we approached to sell our home. Unfortunately once we’d signed up, they weren’t reliable and didn’t communicate with us regularly. Phone calls weren’t returned, our agent was never available when we rang. Feedback only given twice in 6 months. We have now taken our property off the market until next year.

Cameron, the Branch Manager, was fantastic from the very first valuation. He was professional, knowledgeable and approachable, taking the time to explain the current market, the marketing strategy and how best to achieve the strongest possible result. We felt confident in his advice from day one and never felt under any pressure. Once the property was on the market, Catherine and Debbie were absolutely brilliant. They kept us updated throughout the entire process, handled viewings and negotiations professionally, and worked tirelessly to keep the sale progressing. Their communication was excellent, and they were always on hand to answer any questions and provide reassurance whenever needed. The whole team at Rendells Totnes made what can often be a stressful experience feel straightforward and well managed. Their professionalism, local knowledge and genuine care for their clients really stood out. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Cameron, Catherine, Debbie and the entire Rendells Totnes team to anyone looking to buy or sell a property. 8th Jun 2026 (8 weeks ago)Very disappointing experience with Rendells Lettings in newton abbot.<br><br>We expressed serious interest in a rental property in early May, provided documents immediately, travelled down from Oxfordshire to see if we could view the house, followed up multiple times by email and phone, and even visited the office in person (told them it was an 8 hour drive for us). After which we got not one call or email from the person who runs the lettings dept. Throughout the process we were repeatedly told that the landlord would “come back with further instructions,” but after more than a month we still received no proper update or clear answer.<br><br>And also they told us that they get so many applications they just don’t care and will not respond to anything. They refuse to do online viewings (which all the other agencies are willing to do), don't respond to applications (after you have filled out given them your life on paper basically). Complete limbo.<br><br>Meanwhile, the property remained advertised online the entire time!<br><br>What made the experience frustrating was not necessarily losing out on the property, but the complete lack of communication and basic courtesy. Calls and emails went unanswered, timelines were unclear, and we were left unable to plan our own housing situation despite explaining that notice had to be given on our current tenancy.<br><br>Other agencies we dealt with in Devon were far more professional, responsive, and respectful.<br><br>Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend Rendells Lettings, other agencies in Devon are far far better and I can’t recommend them enough, Rendells lettings in newton abbot was in 25 years of renting through agencies the very worst experience i have ever had, take my advice and don’t do it

They generated a lot of interest and helped us select the offer most likely to proceed smoothly. Communication was great throughout and we really felt we were in safe hands. We would wholeheartedly recommend Christopher’s for their experience, expertise and service.
