23rd Apr 2026 (13 days ago)A Standard of Excellence That Words Struggle to Contain There are moments in life when a professional relationship transcends the transactional and becomes something far more meaningful — and my experience with Buckinghams Estate Agents of Virginia Water has been exactly that. When I say they are an absolute credit to their industry, I do not offer those words lightly. My journey with Geoff Burgoyne and his exceptional team began in June 2024, when our father made the decision to let his home as he moved in to live with my sister. From the very first interaction, Geoff and his letting team demonstrated a level of care, thoughtfulness, and thoroughness that immediately set them apart. Having operated as a landlord for twenty-five years and having worked with a considerable number of estate agents during that time, I can state with complete conviction that Buckinghams surpasses them all — not by a small margin, but by a considerable distance. Our father passed away in June 2024, shortly after the property had been let, and the world as I knew it changed in an instant. The tenants remained in the property, and through every maintenance matter, every decision, and every development, Buckinghams handled everything with a transparency that I had simply never encountered before at this level. Every communication was clear, timely, and unsolicited — meaning I never had to chase, never had to wonder, and never had to second-guess what was happening with the property. Geoff and his team appeared to operate from a fundamental belief that a landlord, and particularly one navigating personal grief, deserved to be kept fully informed at every turn. That transparency was not a feature of their service — it was the very fabric of how they conducted themselves, and it made an immeasurable difference during one of the most difficult periods of life. When the time came to sell the property through probate — a process that is inherently emotional and, at times, deeply turbulent — Geoff and his team proved themselves to be not merely agents, but trusted partners. They were instrumental in navigating an experience that carried enormous personal weight, and they carried it with us with grace, sensitivity, and unwavering competence. Yet perhaps what moved me most during the sale process was something that no contract obliges an estate agent to do. There were minor remedial tasks required by the seller prior to completion — small but necessary jobs that many agents would have instinctively passed on to subcontractors, adding cost, delay, and yet another unfamiliar face to an already weary process. Geoff rolled up his sleeves and attended to those tasks personally. That single act speaks volumes about the character of the man and the culture of the business he has built. It is one thing to manage a sale with professionalism; it is quite another to show up in the way that Geoff did, with the kind of quiet, selfless commitment that cannot be trained into someone — it must simply be part of who they are. Buckinghams have set a benchmark that others in their industry should study and aspire to reach. They have raised the bar to a height that speaks to what this profession, at its very finest, can genuinely be. My family and I have been through an enormous amount since June 2024, and through it all, right up until exchange, Buckinghams stood with us. For that, there is no adequate measure of gratitude — only the hope that this review, in some small way, reflects the remarkable human beings behind that name. Thank you Geoff and Team.
8th Oct 2025 (6 mo. ago)Was offered to be a tenant by a friend for a house by the Royal Holloway back gate. Excellent communication and organisation from the team. A big thank you to the assigned estate agent, Izzy Blatch, for the friendly induction and swift paperwork. Everything was as smooth as it could get, both when settling in and when vacating the property.
17th Jan 2022 (4 years ago)Unfortunately, they couldn't find a buyer for my stunning flat themselves and had to enlist an outside estate agent, and had me stump up extra money to help compensate them. So they got it done after the end of the contact term, but it cost me £thousands more. This was after they earlier had asked me to agree to halt showings as demanded by an earlier (lower) offer that I reluctantly accepted. That buyer ended up walking weeks later, wasting precious time that could have been spent finding a real buyer. Estate agents are not your friend. No matter how charming they appear before their engagement contract is signed, once you sign it, they revert to their true mercenary selves, pressuring you to accept offers well below the very valuation they provided, because their only loyalty is to earning their fee. Don't get fooled. Wish I never used this JDW office.
24th Feb 2026 (10 weeks ago)I chose Simple Estate Agents to sell my property (Halsway, Hayes) and had an exceptional experience. From finding buyers/offers to managing the sales process Prablin and Harkiran were great. This sale should have been straightforward, but it turned into almost a year-long process due to a previous buyer choosing to mess us around at the last minute. Through all of it, Prablin and Harkiran continued to support and the communication was constant and supportive. Even when i got frustrated with delays (not from Simple's side) both Prablin and Harkiran were patient and did their best always to get updates and chase They stepped in wherever things were stuck and did everything possible to push the deal forward. A special thanks from me to them both. It was quite a journey but they were amazing throughout. Would highly recommend Simple!

Definitely use Property Experts if you want a smooth sale without the promises other estate agents gave us and did not deliver.

Thieving clowns, very very very deceitful - 1 lie after the other. Should be investigated not fit to be a housing agent. Can never get through to them to fix issues with the property only concerned about taking money monthly. Stay away !!!!!!. I would give them a minus 100000 rating if I could- 15th Nov 2021 (4 years ago)Tom Ward was always there to help us and kept us in the loop at all times. He was understanding when hurdles cropped up and always showed patience and compassion to my elderly mother. A great agent in all respects but in this case with assisted living properties.
17th Nov 2021 (4 years ago)We have used Dolce Vita services multiple times, be that for our own apartment search, for corporate apartment as well as for short stay and they always exceeded our expectations. Chris and the team have been extremely helpful with suggesting the locations, helping us with furnishings, negotiating the contract with landlord and even finding the place that accepts pets. Just a pleasure to deal with when looking for your next home!

They listened to my concerns and agreed to refund my deposit and rent, which I appreciate. Communication improved during the process, and the matter was resolved fairly. Thank you for taking responsibility and resolving things properly.
