Throughout it all, Nick and his team have been consistently professional, helpful and genuinely lovely to deal with.<br><br>Our sale in particular became quite complicated and time-sensitive, and Nick went above and beyond to step in and support us. His involvement was instrumental in getting the sale over the line, and we’re incredibly grateful for that.<br><br>We couldn’t recommend Nicholas & James highly enough. The admin staff who greet you at the front desk, Laoisa and Ruth, are friendly and professional, and if I ever had a query they usually answered my email within 30 mins. Its easy to get through on the phone, and the staff all know where everyone is - and they always ring you back. I think the photographer they use is superb - I've used other agents, and this guy is great. Wish I could give him a name check! James came and valued my flat, Rob conducted the sale and I felt entirely confident that they would get me the best result. The solicitors they recommended were extremely responsive and professional, and all in all, it was a simple and straightforward process. High Five, all at Lextons, and thank you.

Charlie was great, I was clueless with the whole process but he was patient and would explain things. They were also keen to get it completed and would also so the chasing which was helpful.<br><br>They were all so kind and friendly and made the process of buying my house a nice experience!

13th Jul 2026 (11 weeks ago)Extremely disappointing experience dealing with Sawyer & Co on a purchase in Brighton. Our main point of contact was Bob Beaken, and communication throughout was poor - basic management pack queries went unchased for weeks, information was mixed and kept changing, and updates were inconsistent.<br><br>The low point came when, after a brief and entirely reasonable visit to discuss timings with the seller, I received a call from Bob lecturing me about the visit rather than helping resolve the underlying delays that had caused the frustration in the first place. The seller withdrew from the sale shortly afterwards, at which point I'd have expected a competent, professional agent to be working to keep the sale together rather than adding friction to an already stressed situation.<br><br>We had cash in hand and were ready to proceed quickly. The lack of proactive, professional handling from this agency made an already difficult process worse. Can't recommend

An agent who I found refreshingly realistic and proactive if the process became complicated. He understood what I was looking for and he explained in detail how the flat could suit the owner I was helping We eventually put a full price offer on this property I have to admit I looked at many other properties with many other agents in Brighton and was very very disappointed with the lack of personal service – lack of caring and attention . Marcus Excels in his field and I hope that his management is listening to the feedback because he is the type of person that is needed today in this very impersonal world- 15th Sep 2026 (12 days ago)As a landlord, I have had a great experience with Danielle Gillam, Senior Property Manager. She has been professional, friendly, and always quick to respond to any questions or requests for information regarding the property.<br><br>Danielle liaised effectively with the tenants, arranged appointments for repairs, and kept me informed of any property maintenance issues in advance. She also reminded me in good time about upcoming gas safety checks and EICR inspections, ensuring that everything was kept up to date.<br><br>She dealt with matters promptly, and her communication has been excellent throughout the four years the property has been let.<br><br>I would happily recommend her services to any other landlord.
