Fantastic service - flat purchase went through in record time. Prompt, professional and personable - cannot rate them highly enough!
I went in and asked simple question. Woman sitting there got puzzled on her face and has done everything to get rid of me as soon ash she realised I don't want to jump out with my pocket full of notes. Very bad service.
Temi was really helpful and friendly through the rental process, even though I ask a million questions and am new to the UK renting system.
I honestly don't know where all these top reviews came from, so I'll share my story between me and KFH. They promised great and looked professional when showing me the flat (some wrong information provided during the progress, although I believe they're not intended to), but I faced very different situation after signing the contract with them. I couldn't get any useful information about council tax or utility bills after sending several emails for inquiring, I couldn't get the broken shower fixed after several emails with no reply, I couldn't get any solution when reporting severe formaldehyde odor in the bedroom beside "that's serious are you sure?", not to mention other inquiries that were ignored. Maybe the property manager is either too busy or thinks me as a tenant not worth paying attention to(they even got my name wrong on the contract and I needed to remind them several times to correct it). All these happened within the first 10 days after I moved into the flat, how can I be satisfied or being optimistic here?
Not very responsive, not recommended based on my personal experience.
Recently completed a sale which became complex and very drawn out. Kiran and the rest of the team were brilliant and supportive throughout. Highly recommend Winkworth in East Dulwich.
Had a terrible experience trying to rent through winkworths. Weeks after putting down a deposit and signing a rental agreement they contacted us via email to tell us that we would no longer be able to rent the property. We rushed down to the office to find out what was happening as we were set to move in three weeks time, straight from getting back from holiday. They told us because one of the work references was provided through a HR department and not an individual name they couldn’t go ahead with the rental. This was something which would have been easily resolved if we had recieved ANY correspondence from them (they had two phone numbers and email addresses). The finance team at the office were incredibly rude, had no empathy and acted incredibly unprofessionally. We even offered to pay the full 12 months rent up front as we were so desperate for it to go through, however we were told it would no longer be rented to us.
Be careful if you plan on renting through them and I would avoid them completely if possible!
Special thanks to Mr Nathan Kent who has been the best agent ive dealt with thus far! Paid attention to detail of our search and delivered service which i can only applaude. Thank you, Kira and Jon!
Our sale was managed by Jamie Crowder at first and then Priyesh Barot, with no real explanation as to where Jamie went.
Priyesh and his colleagues repeatedly gave misinformation to our buyer, — told her we had no chain when we'd made it clear we were buying a flat (which was chain free — perhaps that was the confusion, but it's really not complicated!), then told her we were happy to leave it vacant before we'd completed our purchase (also not true). This cause us much stress as we were worried she might pull out, as we knew KFH would make it seem like our fault to her. Then — the final straw! — told her on completion day that we were out and gave her the keys before we had finished and locked up! She literally turned up WHILE WE WERE CLEANING. Hugely embarrassing, but luckily she was reasonable and had only turned up to drop a few things and then move in later.
KFH were more expensive than their service warranted. They did get our flat sold in the end, but after we'd already gone with another agent due to lack of activity from them. The sale only happened because of a previously interested party losing another purchase elsewhere and coming back to ours after we'd gone to another agent.
Considered giving 2 stars as they were friendly, but these are really basic things that needn't have happened, hence just 1 star — there is no need to mislead buyers just to tell them what they want to hear. It only creates stress and frustration when the truth then appears.
I've just sold my house through Acorn; James and George made the experience as painless as possible. It is never a particularly easy process, but the team were extremely helpful, very communicative and highly professional at all times. I bought the house originally through this branch of Acorn and then used them as letting agents when I had to move for work. You hear all sorts of horror stories about estate agents; if you want to avoid the hassle, choose this branch! Thank you all again.
Aggressive members of staff literally looking for a fight with traffic warden who was just doing his job. Entitled Scum bags. Wouldn't give them a penny
