4th Apr 2024 (5 weeks ago)We recently used w h brown Harrogate to sell a relatives property and I have to say that the service was very good in general. We had been on the market with 2 other agents in Harrogate prior to browns dealing with the sale and had not had a great experience with either agent! So I was very specific in the service I wanted when instructing browns…. initially I dealt with the previous manager who was excellent but left the company prior to us agreeing a sale ….the new manager however Claire introduced herself and then handled the property negotiations at offer stage and chased the sale up, we completed approximately 9 weeks after agreeing the sale, she provided an excellent service.I was a manager of an estate agents for 25 years so know what makes a good agent and I can honestly recommend W H Brown Harrogate if you are looking to sell in the Harrogate area. 3rd Apr 2024 (5 weeks ago)Selling my house with another agency. Today get a call from Abbotts, asking me "how it's going." I enquire if I'm with them, and they admit that they know that I am not. They give the name of the agency I am with. I then ask them not to call again. The salesman ignores this and is still talking as I end the call. Yuk.
20th Aug 2022 (1 year ago)Despite promises of being two people to run our open house, it felt like they sent the office junior who knew nothing about the property, and seemed to be nothing more than a glorified doorman. This meant that out of 20 viewing (and being assured of getting “7 or 8 offers well over the asking price” we had just two- one well below the offers over price. From there, the communication was practically non existent unless we done the chasing. We had used a different branch of theirs before who I would rate 5 star, but Colchester high street branch was terrible this time. Our final thoughts was that the house was undersold on the day, and awful communication.
1st Mar 2024 (10 weeks ago)We have just purchased a property through Clarke & Simpson in Framlingham, specifically dealing with Oliver Johnson. We have been very proactive purchasers, pushing for as speedy a completion as possible, and Oliver has always been reachable by phone and/or email. He would always call us back as soon as possible if he was busy and communication was very good at all times of the day. Any requests we had for action, be it communication with the vendors or solicitors for example, were always carried out as soon as possible and we really felt that Oliver was working extremely diligently to ensure all parties were happy and the purchase went through as soon as possible. We have been really pleased with our dealings with Clarke & Simpson, Framlingham, and would highly recommend them.
18th Nov 2023 (24 weeks ago)As many people said it earlier they removed all reviews as they were so bad. I can't find my personal one as well. They are still the same bunch of people who will try to rip you off on every single occasion. Please avoid at all cost. There are plenty good agencies out there

Jon contacted us back very quickly and was incredibly helpful and efficient all the way through the process. Estelle joined in at the appropriate time and provided the same great support. They made the whole process simple to understand, and we had a relaxing and happy experience, whereas finding a place to rent can otherwise be a bit stressful and difficult. We definitely highly recommend WPR Farnham. Just contact them and see for yourself.

The photographs of my property were superb.- 18th Apr 2024 (19 days ago)We used to Beresfords to let out our house in Witham. They let it out to someone who was selling drugs out of the house. Since he’s been out - we’ve had friends who have moved in. We’ve been told by multiple neighbors that they complained to Beresfords about the drug problem - and we were never notified. Our friends said that they found used needles in the house when they moved in in the bathroom, even after Beresfords supposedly did an inventory of the home (Beresfords also told us they checked for animals and found no evidence of them - even though there were large amounts of animal poo in the backyard.) Would not trust them to help with letting out a property again.

1st May 2024 (6 days ago)Arc were confident of getting a sale for the price they valued our property at, however, the price of our property was clearly overvalued to get our custom. We have since sold our property for £15k lower than they said with another estate agent.

It is with great sadness we have had to leave our home as the landlord has decided to sell. When Andy Wade the director rang to give us this sad news we could tell it upset him a great deal. Due to her age, I looked after her property sale - the only input she made was appointing Salters. It was the correct decision. Alan, Hannah and the rest of the team at Salters are the opposite of almost every other estate agent we’ve used; They are absolutely SUPERB. They fly in the face of your stereotypical agents, as they genuinely care. They are extremely professional, always come back to you (when they say they will), they know your house chain inside out and they are completely reliable. Alan even came back to me when he had Covid. I simply cannot recommend them highly enough, as they hugely lessen the anxiety and stress of a house move. Our viewing was cancelled the day before due to a vendor accepting the first offer on a property. I feel if the vendor had known of our position, our viewing could have gone ahead and we would have made an offer.
