4th Apr 2024 (16 weeks ago)We recently used w h brown Harrogate to sell a relatives property and I have to say that the service was very good in general. We had been on the market with 2 other agents in Harrogate prior to browns dealing with the sale and had not had a great experience with either agent! So I was very specific in the service I wanted when instructing browns…. initially I dealt with the previous manager who was excellent but left the company prior to us agreeing a sale ….the new manager however Claire introduced herself and then handled the property negotiations at offer stage and chased the sale up, we completed approximately 9 weeks after agreeing the sale, she provided an excellent service.I was a manager of an estate agents for 25 years so know what makes a good agent and I can honestly recommend W H Brown Harrogate if you are looking to sell in the Harrogate area. Daryl was very supportive professional and informative and ensured to answer all of my queries Promptly During my time of having a mortgage I've used a number of different mortgage advisors, but Daryl is the best ???? I have not been the most straightforward customer but he has gone out of his way to support me in making the best decisions For My future Mortgage renewal
20th Aug 2022 (1 year ago)Despite promises of being two people to run our open house, it felt like they sent the office junior who knew nothing about the property, and seemed to be nothing more than a glorified doorman. This meant that out of 20 viewing (and being assured of getting “7 or 8 offers well over the asking price” we had just two- one well below the offers over price. From there, the communication was practically non existent unless we done the chasing. We had used a different branch of theirs before who I would rate 5 star, but Colchester high street branch was terrible this time. Our final thoughts was that the house was undersold on the day, and awful communication.

As we are new to the area, we requested a recommendation for a surveyor and removal company, who were both excellent. We always appreciated their good communication, and Stuart Clarke attended an extended time second viewing for us at our request.
18th Nov 2023 (8 mo. ago)As many people said it earlier they removed all reviews as they were so bad. I can't find my personal one as well. They are still the same bunch of people who will try to rip you off on every single occasion. Please avoid at all cost. There are plenty good agencies out there

In particular Stephen and Vicky have been there to provide advice and support at crucial moments and there has always been a member of the team available by phone. We would not hesitate to recommend Heritage to anyone seeking to buy or sell a property.

Whenever we were unsure of something we knew we could speak to Craig Tarbet - either to get a definite answer or to get an estimate/explanation from someone who quite clearly has years of experience. We can't thank Craig and Gallant Richardson enough! If we ever move again we will definitely be using them.

From one conversation over the phone without even meeting me Hannah perfectly understood exactly what I was looking for and her first recommendation ticked every box I had from my "must have" and even the majority of my "nice to haves" for my first home. She knew it was perfect and pushed to have me see it before anyone else, which I cannot thank her for enough. Between Alan and Hannah the communication was brilliant, I felt in the loop, all my questions were answered and they always came back to me even if the query took some time to get an answer.

25th Jul 2024 (2 days ago)We were selling our house in Felixstowe but they were in Ipswich. Their salesman lived in Felixstowe so we assumed that he knew the market. They promised an open day that would be busy. It never happened and we ended up doing several viewing as they did not have staff available. We received no acceptable offers and cancelled at the end of the contract and went with a Felixstowe agent who not only knew the market but had clients looking for Felixstowe properties. Would not use Foxhall again.
