14th Jul 2026 (14 days ago)I've now dealt with Pocock & Shaw as both a buyer and a seller, and my experience has been excellent on both counts. Magnus in particular has been a stellar agent, combining real professionalism with genuine, attentive support throughout. What could easily have been a stressful process was made to feel straightforward and well-managed at every stage, from the first conversation through to completion.<br><br>Credit is also due to the wider team, who were consistently responsive, helpful and professional whenever I needed them. It's clear this is a firm that values its clients and takes pride in getting the details right.<br><br>Having been looked after so well as both a buyer and a seller, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Pocock & Shaw, and I'll happily be sending a few friends their way in the near future. Highly recommended.
20th May 2026 (10 weeks ago)Don't bother to clean up too much, no matter how hard you try they will still charge you hundreds of pounds. After living at one of their properties for just 6 months, I handed over the house as clean as I got it but they still charged me £560 for deep cleaning. Very disappointed I DON'T RECOMMEND IT!

28th May 2026 (9 weeks ago)Our experience trying to sell our property with William H Brown was extremely disappointing and ultimately quite disastrous. Before we signed with them, the team were highly proactive in their communication and sales pitch. We were promised consistent outreach to potential buyers, regular updates, detailed analytics, and valuable insights throughout the sales process. Unfortunately, the reality after signing the contract was completely different. Communication quickly became poor and reactive rather than proactive. We repeatedly found ourselves having to chase the team for updates and manually intervene to ensure viewers were actually being followed up with after property visits. In several cases, it appeared that little-to-no meaningful follow-up had been carried out unless we specifically requested it. There also seemed to be a lack of organisation and visibility around prospective buyers. The team often appeared unsure about where leads were in their decision-making process, whether further conversations had taken place, or what objections buyers may have had. This left us feeling as though there was no clear sales strategy or ownership of the process. Given the fees involved, we expected a far more professional, engaged, and proactive service. Instead, we were left feeling frustrated, unsupported, and lacking confidence that our property sale was being managed effectively. In the end, after a few months with WHB and no real leads for the sale of our house, we ended up going with another local estate agents who sold our house within a month. Overall, we would not recommend William H Brown based on our experience.

He provided a thorough, clear and highly professional surveyor’s report, explaining details I hadn’t even considered, including the impact on rebuild costs. Efficient, knowledgeable and easy to deal with throughout. Highly recommended.

They have managed my properties with efficiency and fairness whilst always having time to discuss issues with me. Several of my property's have also been sold by them with again being very helpful and always on hand to direct and advise. Thank you

He has always been approachable, honest and professional, taking the time to keep us informed and answer any questions we had. We never felt pressured, and his communication has been excellent, particularly during what can be a stressful time.<br><br>We also really appreciate the work of the sales progression team, especially Kelly and Neave, who has been proactive in keeping everything moving and explaining the next steps as we progress towards exchange.<br><br>Buying and selling a home can be an emotional experience, but Cheffins have made it feel organised, transparent and well managed. Their local knowledge, professionalism and genuine care for their clients really stand out.<br><br>A huge thank you to Joe, Adam, Jack, Dan, Kelly, Neave and everyone at Cheffins.
