4th Apr 2026 (25 weeks ago)Lots of promises and good advice at initial face to face meeting. They got me to drop the price quite early on. Two viewings in 7 months. I was supposed to have a phone call with them last week and had an appointment time booked. No phone call but a generic email. At the start they suggested I have new stair carpet and flooring in some rooms . I had new bathroom, kitchen, 2 bedrooms, landing and stair carpet put down. They took the house of the market without telling me. The sign was taken from the front of my house. I checked online and they had pulled the house of the market. Almost quite childish? I think it was a poor set of photos and description having reviewed my experience. They stated partially double glazed when I had every window replaced to double glazed. Just odd things that they didn't mention. I am not sure if they know the area and market that well as it is a good location. The house market is always difficult through the winter months but putting that aside , the company just don't communicate at all. I started to look at other options for selling as you just don't hear from them. I think the last promised phone call was my clear signal that as something needed to change. Their poor practice made the decision for me. I will express that the guy that saw me on the first visit to discuss selling was very good. Talks a good talk.
27th Aug 2026 (28 days ago)We recently moved into our new home through John Payne and the whole process was very smooth. The staff were friendly and helped us sort out the paperwork quickly. When we picked up the keys, the house was clean and ready for us. Any small questions we had during our first week were answered right away. We are very happy with their service and would recommend them to other renters.

1st Sep 2025 (1 year ago)From the initial valuation visit with Charlotte through to the handling of viewing appointments at the sales office , everything was extremely efficient. The online portal is really useful and always up to date. Charlotte was very personable and took some great photos of the house .All the staff we dealt with at the office were very helpful , Jade kept us informed at all times and dealt with our offer situation really well. I would definitely recommend.

22nd Sep 2026 (2 days ago)Don’t really know where to start<br>This is my review of my experience renting with this company<br><br>Rude and unprofessional staff<br>Lack of communication with both tenants and staff<br>Inconsistent and unreliable<br><br>1 one staff member will say something and the other completely different, despite working for the same company?<br><br>Had to wait over a month for a replacement of damaged item when my partner called about it he was told it is not and emergency and should just deal with it, when I called about it several times was told they are sorry and we’ll do something about it ASAP after I finally had to ask if you were in your home and this was the case would you feel comfortable.<br><br>There are many more things to say but I’d rather not give any more of my time to c9 but for people considering renting with them all I can say is that there are much better letting agents that are great communicators, respectful, honest and professional<br>Hope this helps someone making their decision.<br><br>Also<br>I had a look at one star reviews and have realised that you are constantly breaching sensitive information about people, usually other companies refrain from discussing people’s complaints in comment sections and have private discussions about concerns.

Richard who came to do the valuation was on time, very personable, had a good knowledge of the area, and valued the property correctly. I have been kept fully up to date by email, message and phone calls at every stage from day one. I would highly recommend this estate agent. Excellent from start to finish.

25th Aug 2026 (30 days ago)The entire team helped me through a difficult time and a prolonged sale, impacted by the usual as well as extraordinary events in the near east, which impacted prices and confidence across the country. From initial appointment through completion, I was always treated like a human being. Over the course of the sale, I got to speak with and know most of the team and they all worked diligently, authentically and honestly to get my sale over the line (which also included so many shenanigans from the other side's lender!). I am so glad I chose Archer Bassett. Special shout outs to Stephanie and manager, Mark; also Jo and Stefan too!).

22nd Sep 2026 (2 days ago)When James from Sauve said he deals with everything from organising and seeing all viewings through to vetting potential buyers and liaising with the both Solicitors and providing weekly updates it’s hard to imagine he has time to do all this but he actually does on every sale that I know he has been involved in. He takes the stress out of the day to day worries about selling/buying and is there to guide you through, nothing is too much trouble for him. The best Estate agent by far.
1st Sep 2026 (23 days ago)Absolutely terrible experience with this letting agency. They called us themselves, arranged and confirmed property viewings, and then nobody from the agency showed up. We were left waiting with no explanation, and when we tried calling them, they didn’t answer.<br><br>This has happened to me multiple times, so this clearly isn’t just a one-off mistake. If you can’t organise a viewing properly or have someone actually turn up, don’t waste people’s time by booking appointments you have no intention of attending.<br><br>Extremely unprofessional, unreliable, and disrespectful of customers’ time. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this letting agency to anyone.
