8th Jul 2024 (19 days ago)I used to rent a property with country properties. During that time I interacted mainly with Debbie I found the whole experience deeply unpleasant. She seemed more concerned about making money for the landlord than about my experience as a tenant: it made me feel stressed and pressured. I also experienced them as unprofessional due to the lack of service that was available to me - what I mean by service is a welcoming attitude and kind approach, which would make me feel safe and supported to raise any concerns I might have. However, both members of the rental branch - Debbie and Hayley- made me feel I was a burden and every time I spoke on the phone it would be rushed. The usual line was ‘we’re about to go into a meeting’. This caused me much anxiety when I was living in Shefford, I couldn’t wait to move! My view of their behaviour whilst living in one of their properties was just confirmed when I had to call them unexpectedly because I accidentally sent a package to the old address and wondered if there was any way of getting the package to me. If not I enquired into whether it would be possible for them to ask their tenant to hold the package for me or see if I could be sent on. However I was told ‘that wasn’t possible’ and Debbie rushed me off the phone. She wouldn’t even ask for me. How is this a professional service and moreover how is this kind? Is kindness and civility not a part of managing a business for them? It seems not… I’ve dealt with and lived under the care of several different real estate agents and this was by the far the worst! The whole experience of living in a property is defined by the attitude and service real estate agent. Therefore, I wanted to warn future and would strongly recommend trying finding another real estate agent to help you if possible!
28th Oct 2021 (2 years ago)I have found some estate agents to be all about the sale and provide little knowledge or care about the property and area they are selling, let alone taking the time to get to know a potential purchaser and what is right for them. Paul from Connells, Hitchin however has restored my faith and has proved to have an outstanding knowledge of the properties and areas he has showed us, as well as taking the time during and after viewings to discuss them. Thank you Paul
26th Apr 2024 (13 weeks ago)They tied me down to a contract and wanted to charge me £750 to get out of it even though I was within the cooling off period. I had a change of heart literally the next day and they didn’t let me out. After that, communication was so so and I only got three viewings in the whole duration.- 8th Jun 2024 (7 weeks ago)Steph and the team at Country Properties were excellent. During the entire process of selling my home Steph kept me up to date on a regular basis. Country exceeded all expectations and went above and beyond with their customer care. Thank you all at Country properties.

17th Jul 2024 (10 days ago)At the time of putting my house up for sale I was in the early stages of pregnancy and really anxious to find a home with more space before our baby arrives. I was lucky enough to get in contact with Daniel B, who came to review our home efficiently and professionally. I was really happy with the photos he’d taken and the way in which he talked us through all the relevant processes involved in selling a house. Much to our delight Daniel had a lot of interest on our property and we were able to sell it. Our whole chain completed within three months. At times through the process I had a lot of questions and in retrospect I can see I needed a lot of reassurance through the process as my stress levels were very high. 25th Jun 2024 (5 weeks ago)27 TROWBRIDGE GARDENS - Warning to potential tenants. Rented this property through Indigo and have had a horrendous experience. Leaks left ignored from the roof and guttering for 8 months to the extent water pours through the ceiling onto our bed. Left with a bath that didnt drain properly for multiple months, with several contractor recommendations to fix ignored until the bath fully blocked again for the 2nd time. Gave access to 8 roofing contractors during the 8 months since reporting the leak, of which the landlords said the contractors were lying, exaggerating or were too expensive. We were blamed as a first resort for the bath pipework being insufficient and for the multiple leaks experienced during our tenancy. Tom at Indigo did his best to help us but continued to say that it was the Landlords discretion/decision and didnt push the repair obligations onto the Landlords. Eva was rude, unhelpful and unsympathetic to all issues we had which resulted in us inisiting on liaising with Tom. Indigo then confirmed upon Landlord terminating our tenancy on the grounds of selling (but now up for let at £100pcm more), that they would not be working with Chris and Sue Hodgkiss again due to their negligence of the repair obligations under the Tenancy, as well as being very difficult to deal with but they continue to work with them. The previous Tenants warned us of the same issues and we fear this will continue to happen. Landlords also live next door and will watch you 24/7, in the bathroom which overlooks their garden, as well as turning up without warning and again breaching the tenancy. Rogue Landlords who have caused us nothing but upset, distress and issues. Disappointed that Indigo didnt do more and lied to us about working with these people. Take caution if seeking to rent this property.

19th Jul 2024 (8 days ago)We just completed on a purchase through Leysbrook. We had quite a long process however the team at Leysbrook were excellent. Donna especially went above and beyond. She even worked on getting us moving on her days off. I don't know where we would be right now without her. They were very helpful and supportive. They even set up a WhatsApp chat to help with the process and if we had any questions which was very helpful. They are an amazing estate agent and both myself and my partner would recommend using them. If we were ever mad enough to ever move again we would use Leysbrook! Thank you again for all your hard work, even throughout the stressful time!

Their professionalism, service, attentiveness, responsiveness and attention to detail is more than I ever thought I'd get from them as letting agents. They put in effort with viewings and found a great tenant for my house. I'd advise any landlord going with them. There is a reason why they have the best Google reviews of any lettings agent in Stevenage!

Nick was hugely knowledgeable, respectful and supportive at every stage, and always kept us up-to-date as things progressed. When Nick first visited our home, we were immediately impressed with the care and attention he gave our property. He was realistic and honest, and explained the current market and how he would approach selling our house. By the end of the visit, we knew we could trust him to deliver a five star experience - and we weren’t wrong.
