18th Apr 2026 (6 mo. ago)I purchased a house from Shenley Estates and although selling and buying a house is far from a pleasant experience, Shenley Estates get the job done. Although Natalie was working on behalf of the sellers, I believe that from when I viewed my house to the actual completion, it mattered to her that I was matched well and that my future happiness was also important to her. I have been living in Shenley since January, I love the area and everyone I have met so far have been lovely. I am enjoying making my new house a home, thank you Natalie and Craig.
10th Sep 2026 (7 weeks ago)Very disappointed from the service provided you can't make it up. Went to view a property last Saturday, the estate agent couldn't open the door so we had to leave. Then the office sent us a text two days later asking if we liked the property. How can we like a property we were unable to enter and how do you not know this happened. So unprofessional clearly no communication and I think the worst part was no one apologised! So poor.

Any questions I had they answered quickly and I felt they went the extra mile to follow up with both parties solicitors and any other third parties involved in the process. Clare and Miles made my buying experience very smooth.

I found them to be very professional, knowledge and they have me some great tips in order to finally sell my home. We went ahead with Big Black Hen and there suggestions and hey presto, our house sold. Ive since recommend Big Black Hen to my friends and family. Great service
20th Oct 2025 (1 year ago)When I enquired about a property’s asking price and the seller’s position, I was met with terse, dismissive replies from the female agent I spoke to on the phone - a remarkably unhelpful attitude towards a serious buyer. I decided to proceed with the viewing regardless, but communication remained poor throughout. Afterwards, I submitted a formal offer, which was completely ignored. I never received any confirmation or follow-up, and it appeared my offer may not even have been passed to the vendors - which, if true, would be a breach of legal duty. The overall experience suggested a lack of basic organisation, professionalism, and integrity. For sellers, that should be alarming; for buyers, it’s simply exasperating. I would strongly advise caution when dealing with this agency.

From the initial valuation, she arranged an excellent photographer who captured our property beautifully and presented it in the best possible way. She took ownership of the entire process, coordinating viewings efficiently and keeping us informed every step of the way. What really stood out was her commitment to gathering feedback from every viewer and promptly sharing it with us. She always made sure we knew exactly what was happening and what to expect next – a level of communication we have not experienced with other estate agents. She remained positive, professional, and ensured that accurate information was communicated to all parties throughout the process. Her dedication, transparency, and proactive approach made what can often be a stressful experience feel straightforward and manageable. Honestly, had we worked with someone else, I don't think we would have enjoyed the selling process nearly as much. Engel made the entire journey easy and stress-free. On top of that, her fees are genuinely competitive and offer excellent value for the service she provides. I would have no hesitation in recommending her to family and friends. 2nd Nov 2025 (11 mo. ago)I don't feel they really put any effort into trying to sell our property. The quality of the pictures and listing was not up to scratch. We had to chase for information a lot. I regret choosing them.

I was very impressed with the level of communication Lisa & her staff delivered & prompt responses when delays by solicitors were happening .<br>In addition , incidental enquiries were dealt with in a considerate manner & handled with speed .<br>The team were all approachable & friendly & highly motivated to get the best outcome for your purchase or sale .

Any questions that I had have been promptly dealt with. I was able to move in to my new place reasonably quickly. I have also been contacted by few other agents at VIA Properties and with confidence can recommend these estate agents to others.

We would not hesitate to recommend Lowther Estate Agents to anyone.<br>We have had to work with 4 estate agents over the last 2 years for various reasons and Lowthers were by far the best. Richard was our agent and point of contact right throughout the process, for both our purchase and our sale. He was exceptional - and everything we wanted from our agent. He was available, accessible, down to earth, accommodating with requests, never pushy - and he supplied regular communications and updates. He understood that the move was a major life event for us and he managed the whole process calmly and professionally, chasing where necessary and advising as required. Queries were answered very promptly, every time, via phone call or WhatsApp.<br>Our experience was that as a small family run business, Lowther Estate Agents were far better equipped than the bigger chains to give us the time and personal service we wanted, with Richard and Toni-Ann working together to manage the whole process. We cannot speak highly enough of the service we received.<br><br>We had thought that all estate agents were pretty much the same. They are not!
