Emily and Ellie were especially a pleasure to work with: they both provided us with a really smooth and efficient service from passing on our initial offer, through property viewing, referencing to contract signing and handing us the keys to our lovely new home. They even surprised us with a personalised Home Move Box, which was such a nice touch and made us feel so welcome. I and my husband can only recommend Emily, Ellie and their Lettings Team to other prospective lettings customers looking for a great service. I would also like to give a big shout out for Gemma for her amazingly efficient and expert mortgage advice and matching us with the best mortgage lenders. I can’t thank everyone at Brown&Merry Tring enough for taking property matters to the next level.

24th Apr 2026 (11 days ago)I originally put my house up for sale with another very known estate on Chingford mount E4. They quickly found me a buyer, someone known to them that buys and sells properties through them. After nearly reaching exchange position they tried to drop me £25000 because they just wanted to. When I asked the agents if they had been following up my sale making sure that things were going well it was a NO. £2000 less in my pocket I went straight to Coultons in Chingford E4, what can I say, very friendly helpful people that go out there way to help. They found me a buyer and followed it through, constantly communicating with me every step of the way. They are all professionals and enjoy doing their job. I mainly delt with Euan, real gentleman. He would do anything he can to make everything go smoothly. Up to the completion day he was calling to make sure all was well. So if you really want to buy or sale a property forget about going to second best, just go straight to the best Coultons in Chingford, where you will get professional services and peace of mind.
20th Oct 2025 (6 mo. ago)Used Ashtons as was a prospective buyer of a property they marketed. Not so many issues with the office but the sales progression team were always quite slow to respond and could never get through to the assigned person to my case. Additionally used ashtons to sell my property and I feel compelled to share my deeply disappointing experience. The problems began immediately. The agency provided an initial valuation to secure our business in July, only to suggest a £25,000 price reduction after just one week, admitting there was no interest. Despite agreeing to the reduction, it did not correlate to an increase in activity which would lead to questions around marketing and resource as Ashtons list a lot of properties. By September, they had only managed to secure two viewings. We received absolutely no feedback from either of these viewings, despite requesting it, leaving us completely in the dark. Lastly thier fees are quite opaque and if youre new to selling read through everything very carefully. In the non flex fees there are baked in withdrawal fees that ensure ashtons get paid regardless if they sell or not. Which gives them little incentive to really push your property in my opinion. The alternative is you pay money up front to them to sell your property which is preposterous. Fundamentally all the agents use rightmove to market your property and that's where most people go to find houses. In summary: an inaccurate valuation, negligible effort, a complete lack of communication, and a devious fee structure designed to charge you even when they fail to perform.

I was informed in writing that the refund had been approved and passed to the accounting team, yet no payment was made and no replies were received despite several follow?ups. The lack of responsiveness after tenancy termination and the difficulty in tracking the deposit created unnecessary stress. Tenants should be cautious and be prepared to chase persistently for deposit refunds.

22nd Jan 2026 (15 weeks ago)The whole team at Arkwright’s in Saffron Walden have been a joy to work with. From initial contact, to the sales details - including a very inventive video, made on the only rainy day for weeks and weeks with a ‘Singing in the rain’ sound track! l had several viewings in the first week and an agreed sale within around 2 weeks ( after having been with another agent for 4 months with no viewings at all) The whole process has been easy, efficient, profession, respectful and friendly. I would highly recommend them and especially if you have a slightly quirky property. Thanks to all.

Luckily for us, O & A introduced us to our now forever home which made communication seamless and quick so we couldn’t be happier with the process and how things panned out. They didnt shy away from any questions and were reassuring when things got stressful. Thanks guys!

Sarah, in particular, went above and beyond her role over a challenging six-month period, being available 24/7 and supporting us through every obstacle. Without her dedication and guidance, we truly don’t think we would have kept the chain moving to completion. Their professionalism, commitment, and personal touch helped make what could have been an extremely stressful process feel manageable. We couldn’t recommend them highly enough!

2nd May 2026 (3 days ago)0 stars - I would not recommend this agency We have unfortunately been dealing with Hemang, the lettings manager, and the experience has been consistently disappointing. Communication and transparency seem to be completely absent. Our rent has been paid late every single month, including a delay of 10 days last month, and at no point have we been proactively informed of any issues. Each month there is a new excuse - management not being available to approve payments, the company not having received rent yet, and no doubt something different next time. The lack of accountability is frustrating. We haven’t even received a copy of the signed contract yet despite asking on several occasions. We are counting down the days until July when can finally move on from the service. Save yourself the stress and choose another agency.

Henne in particular deserves a mention - she really helped when our chain was dragging by communicating up and down the line and keeping us informed every step. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

14th Apr 2026 (21 days ago)We haven't had to go through the nightmare of moving house for over forty years but we survived the emotional roller coaster this time round thanks to Stanton Hockett. Not easy for two eighty year olds I must admit who simply want to go live near their daughter up north! We approached the move with trepidation but their approach from the outset was totally re-assuring and empathetic. Tom started the ball rolling with his no fuss approach and we then graduated to the big guns, Brad & Gavin, after they found us a young couple to buy our treasured family home. They might have been a dating agency so suited to us were our young buyers. As apparently often occurs our journey through the legal processes to exchange and completion took us between peaks of elation to valleys of frustrated despair and back again but they were there to support us when we needed it. Thank you Tom and Lewis, thank you Gavin and most of all thank you Brad for your impeccable service to us in the sales progression stage. We are on our way now and feeling a whole lot better about our future.
