Found my own buyer in the end because they were useless, but still threatened me that I had to pay their fees even though I was outside the tie in period. They will try to bully you into accepting lower offers just to get their commission. Avoid this firm at all costs!
I booked a viewing yesterday, at Albert road Preston. I had to cancelled appointments with clients because the only time they had available was 11.00am. I sat outside waiting for 20 minutes before I decided to ring them to find out why they had not turned up? Only to be told they had forgotten!! Totally unacceptable and unprofessional behaviour. Their inability to organise a viewing has cost me time and money. If this was my property I'd be asking for my money back. Oystons will probably be charging the owner of this property for viewing. A service they are not providing and by acting unprofessional will be losing a potential sale. Disgraceful behaviour!!!

Had a disturbing experience with this letting agent, requested a number of times to be removed from a tenancy, they said it had to be sent in writing, when they received it they promised me on the phone everything would be sorted out and not to worry as there calls are recorded. 3 months on, after receiving a letter informing us we are in arias with this property that we are now no longer a tenant for we called up to see what was going on. We were answered by a MANAGER who 'cannot find' our written letters. When I asked for the call recordings she said she would sort it out, I then called the head office to complain and they informed us none of the calls are recorded in that preston office! Contradicting what other members of staff and managers have told us in the past. AVOID AT ALL COSTS, very unprofessional staff were rude over the phone very unhelpful and didn't know what they were doing! Bunch of school girls trying to run an estate agent.
Spoke to someone called Chris Forgot about a appointment asked if I could be there in 10 minutes was rudely spoken to and then hung up on when asking to rearrange.....
To be honest not all the staff are like that there but was disappointed
I have never encountered service as relaxed as that offered by the Lettings division of Farrell Hayworth (FH). I rarely leave reviews online but was so disappointed by the time FH took dealing with my tenancy application that I wish to warn others who may need an application dealt with quickly: I paid an £150 fee for a reference check on the 15th August, and only now just signed a tenancy agreement to begin the 9th November (nearly 3 months). It took 2 weeks for FH to even send me the application form. Over the course of the tenancy application I had to call them on average 2-3 times a week for updates. They were very polite on the phone (would love to share a pint with Stuart), but they lack any sense of urgency and rarely call back on request (perhaps a fifth of my calls were returned). Please note that their agency fee is non-refundable.
