I had struggled with this process since I had returned to the UK after being overseas for a long time and had to settle back 'into the system'. Many estate agents were unhelpful, not responsive and just generally not providing the assistance and support I hoped for. When I walked into Your Move Bexleyheath for the first time, I sat down and briefed the staff member about my circumstances, and she was quick to take my details and explain a little re the requirements and process. My appointed agent was Maya Jacobs. She was friendly, proactive, helpful and most of all listened. I managed to find the property I was looking for and the whole process was clear and smooth. Any concerns I had were addressed and I was not worried at all. The overall experience was easy and I am so grateful to Maya for all her help. Hats off to the Your Move team in Bexleyheath, by far the best service I have received out of the many many bad experiences I have had, and at the same time they managed to find the place that was exactly looking for.
28th Mar 2024 (23 days ago)I had rented a property from Elliot and Oliver for 3 years. I had suffered all these years as 1. They never mentioned about property inspection before move in but once moved with in the first two months they started regular property inspections where someone would come and they take pictures of all the property including your personal belongings like clothes, you and your kids, your bathroom stuff what not everything. This is very very disturbing and I wanted to move out but because of small kids I had no other choice but to suffer. 2. For most of the repairs that either the ElliotOliver/Landlord are responsible, they put it on tenants forcefully. 3. They will try to take out entire deposit and threaten with their emails. To list I had many more but I am tired of this rental agency. This is very bad Elliot and Oliver. ******Reply to Oliver Bishop (Director of Elliot Oliver)**** Dear Oliver, Please find my comments on your replies 1. Its more professional if your team explicitly mentions to the tenants saying that property inspections takes place regularly for the property when tenants come to view the property rather than saying that its on agreement. I really can’t find this term in the agreement. I wouldn’t have rented if thats the case. But once we rent its difficult to move because of family constraints and had to stay even with the harassing property inspections. And these inspections are only to make sure tenants redecorate the property and give it like a new property to the landlords. Even the regular wear and tear are being shown as faults by tenants. There is absolutely nothing that these inspections benefit tenants rather than showing the tenants personal pics. I told your staff not to take pics of the utensils in the kitchen, my clothes bin in the bathroom but your staff were rude and took and posted the pics in the report. 2. Tenants don’t wontedly break anything in the property. Please have some empathy towards tenants and don’t use words like if only genuine repairs. Tenants only report if it’s genuine. I can give you an example- The property had mould issue no matter we open doors, windows and all the property gets infected with mould. When this is reported instead of fixing this your staff forcefully ask tenants to clean up the mould and repaint the property. This shouldn’t be tenants responsibility. Second example the chairs were aged and outdated with its skin peeling off. When reported your staff said they are perfectly fine to use. But during the end of tenancy your staff said chairs are damaged and are trying to make tenant pay for something thats not their responsibility. I hope these examples explain or do you need email proofs for these. 3. Your staff emails are threatening saying that they will take to court if not accepted to their deductions. Is this not threatening. Please teach your staff to behave professionally with tenants. Tenants are not staying in the properties for free. We are paying rent. Give some respect for that. Thanks

Always professional, even when it gets stressful, Helen was a godsend and was always at the end of the phone when we needed her. We would highly recommend them to anyone.
8th Apr 2024 (12 days ago)Offer to buy a house was accepted and it was up to our surveyors to highlight a Grade 2 listing. Whilst Knight Frank ‘empathise’ we are at considerable out of pocket expense. Property now correctly advertised as listed and whatever the background of who claims what, the agent is expected to have carried out due diligence to confirm facts of what they are marketing. Knight Frank Exeter blame their customer and empathise with potential buyer where legislation states an agent must disclose all information before costs related to surveying or conveying are undertaken. However, this shoddy outfit shirk all responsibility; what a reflection of where we are in todays world. Referring to ombudsman as customer service are running on pastoral ‘empathy’ rather than address a problem where potential buyers remain considerably out of pocket. Our contract was with Knight Frank and their codes of ethics and standards where due diligence is the foundation. The Exeter office has failed miserably to address their duty of professional responsibility. Buyers (and sellers) beware! (investigation response was that "we didn't know, not out fault") With a pending county court claim all is resolved!

The provided an efficient and amazing service throughout, all of the staff are friendly and helpful! If your looking for an agent, then you’ve found it!- 8th Apr 2024 (12 days ago)You would think buying a house would be an exciting process, unfortunately this was not the case when we wanted to purchase a home that was up for sale with Connells Newton Abbot. After 5 months of purchasing (as advertised) no chain home, lack of due diligence meant that we were miss informed, information was not shared, additional costs were not communicated until week 20 and there was little hurry to complete the sale, the seller was using Connells recommended solicitor who seemed to be useless and could not contact the sellers meaning after five months, we decided we had wasted too much time and money to gain nothing. I wish I had read the reviews before investing, now looking to purchase a new home and dismiss any houses up for sale with Connells - avoid at all cost. As for the ethics of the business, the sale could not go through due to the management covenant wording, lack of communication from the seller, yet the house was back up for sale in a matter of days, at a reduced price… still more than our offer which was accepted, I hope no one falls for these games that Connells Newton Abbot play!

A massive shout out to the manager Vicky and the agent Paul for being there for me. I would recommend these folk to anyone looking for a new home, particularly if you are going through trying times like myself.

Jordan James our main contact and the other staff in the office were always most helpful, friendly and polite. Stags Torquay is a highly professional office and gives excellent service. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.
9th Apr 2024 (11 days ago)Yesterday I viewed a house with my adult son and friend. We each came away greatly impressed not just by the house, but by the dedicated agent who so kindly showed us around. I'm very pleased to be dealing with Lewis at HS Owen. As a serious buyer who's been in the thick of finding the right property, having the right estate agent makes all the difference. By now, I have met countless estate agents. The joy of viewing properties had begun to wane. All agents have been eager to understand my requirements and come to my assistance. However, hand on heart, within a second of viewing my dream property, I forgot Lewis was an estate agent! Lewis is a man overflowing with merit in both the personal and professional. Lewis is highly professional with his approach to work. He is highly congenial, is an excellent and personable communicator, has a great deal of local area knowledge, understands what viewers need to know, yet doesn't bombard with information. He is a godsend because he's also a creative and imaginative thinker and gave me some brilliant ideas about possible ways to add space and dimension to the property. Also, he's practical and freely supplied advice about the order in which to carry out work. He pointed out things that I, my son nor my friend would not have noticed or considered. Lewis gave me plenty of time to gain a full initial impression of the house. He has an unhurried style without being at all casual. There was no hard-sell, no reading off a script and certainly no crowding my ability to make my own observations. Lewis gets eleven out of ten and a very big thank you from me for making our viewing of this dream house outstandingly positive. I look forward to more dealings and proceedings and have every confidence I am in the best hands.
16th Mar 2024 (5 weeks ago)I removed my house to another agent after the agreed period because Taylors were awful. They overpriced the house to begin with which resulted in no viewings whatsoever (365,000) I was told they would come and put a board up in the front garden but never happened. The photos that were taken of my property were done on a mobile phone which were poor with no lighting and no use of a drone which had been spoken about previously. I had no communication until just before Christmas when they phoned and asked if I would agree to put my house in the Boxing Day sale at a reduced price of £350,000 to which I agreed to. Still no viewings and no communication until just before the end of the agreed date they called and asked if they could show a couple around which they did. A few days later I emailed them to get feedback on the viewing and changed agents. I would definitely not recommend Taylors.

From start to finish, from the marketing, house viewings, and finally to completion they made sure I was kept up date and were always available at the end of the phone to answer any of my queries. However, at Pincombes you get a lot more than that….. You Get integrity and You Get Humour….! House moving can have its ups and downs and without fail the way in which Gerald and Kim handled situations is what made the difference. I cannot thank them enough for making the process as smooth as it could possibly be. Thank you both so much, Jo
18th Mar 2024 (5 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
9th Nov 2023 (23 weeks ago)STAY CLEAR FROM HERE THEY WILL TELL YOU LIES they promised us that with a guarantor our bad credit wouldn't matter just so they could keep our holding fee absolute horrible company don't fall for there tricks , my wife became very sick after dealing with these crooks, every bit of information that we knew about which was most was revealed to them and after they convincing us with a guarantor this couldn't happen they still kept it , legal action is the only way you will get your money bk We have been through the complaint procedure with no success this is exactly what you want people to do when there homeless or nearly homeless you do this and hope people will roll over lie and more lies

12th Apr 2024 (8 days ago)Daniel and the team offer a first class service. Super helpful, attentive, honest and really do put the client front and center. We bought our house through Daniel and he ensured that the process was as smooth and quick as it possibly could be, always on hand to support and answer queries. We subsequently used Daniel to find a tenant so we could lease a property. Daniel displays so much care and attention throughout the process I am sure he couldn't do more if he was letting his own property. It is so reassuring to know that the management team looking after your property really do care and will ensure it is well cared for!
