If I could give them 0 stars I would. Let a property for around a year - the house was in a disgusting state from the point of moving in and nothing got fixed around the house the whole time I was there. No television because the previous tenants had stolen/broken it, this was never replaced although we were told it would be. Very unprofessional company, nearly two years since I moved out and still to this day have not received my £800 deposit back. Avoid Martin & co at all costs.... Read more

TO ANY FUTURE TENANTS HOPING TO LET A PROPERTY FROM MARTIN&CO...DON'T DO IT! I am currently a tenant for one of their properties and I'm also a wife and a Mother to our 4yr old son. What they say and what they do are so far apart. Upon moving into my property (which is £1450 per month) We discovered filth, no cleaning had been done, there was a 2ft high pile of post. A wheelie bin in the garden with clothing mangled in a foot high of wet grass. The dishwasher had previous tenants DIRTY MOLDY plates in, an oven full of congealed chicken fat, a total of 13 USED DRUG NEEDLES AND SYRINGES! We have for the last 5 months slept in the living room as the property was leaking and saturated in cat urine. Our sons sliced his heel on the stairs through Ill fitted carpet grips. We've never had full heating and still have not been given any keys to back of house. Our property has 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms each containing showers and a bath. 3 of the showers leak and their glass doors hanging off, the bath is broken and a couple of weeks ago OUR LIVING ROOM CEILING COLLAPSED THROUGH LITRES OF LEAKING WATER. They have caused us 1000's of pounds in damages and to top it off I've been diagnosed with an incredibly rare condition that is caused by black mold poisoning!! I have lost partial sight, I have no short term memory at all, swelling on my brain which places pressure on my optic nerves, I am coughing up blood daily because the toxic spores are eroding my lungs and discovered nasal cavity..AND after moving in in Oct 2017 I miscarried on new years day....AND GUESS WHAT...BLACK MOLD POISONING CAUSES MISCARRIAGE!! PLEASE...ANY PARENTS LOOKING TO RENT WITH THIS COMPANY, PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT UNTIL YOU HAVE TESTED EVERY PART OF THE PROPERTY AND ENSURE EVERYTHING IS WELL DOCUMENTED.... Read more
