Dan was highly professional in his approach as he came to undertake a valuation for us, even though it was just a valuation with no possibility of us selling in the short to mid term. Dan is a great amabassador for Romans and on the basis of his service and that of Romans 6 years ago (see below), I would highly recommend them.

Romans found us a buyer in super quick time. That's only the start of it. Without the excellent support to push the sale through to completion we could so easily have lost the sale. It's not just about finding a buyer, it's what happened afterwards which really counted for us. I have to single out Lorraine Eivers for her absolute excellence in service, way beyond reasonable expectations.

Absolute joke of a company I don’t know how they manage to keep stars so high.
They bring you in on false pretences, we were told I can be moved into a house on a certain date, then after putting money down and tying up my house I’m told the house I want is going through probate. Constantly lied to regarding the probate dates, emails ignored.
Literally caused months and months of stress, the most unprofessional company I’ve used.
I’ve now heard that acting this way is known as ‘the Romans experience’, they refuse to acknowledge any misinformation they have given despite emails to show this.
It’s now come to my attention that estate agents are unregulated so this is why they can act this way.

Dan Flemming and Catherine Mcnicholas have worked extremely hard and must be credited for what has been a difficult few months! We had what should have been a very simple chain however dealt with some "challenging" circumstances making the chain extremely complicated and lengthy. I would just like to comment on service I received from Jack Barton at Romans Yateley. Which in my view was just excellent for us and the sale of our house. Nothing seemed too much trouble. From the pre-advice of clients wanting to see the property we were selling, to Solicitor recommendations, to even printing off documents for us as our printer had broken down for a period of time. We visited a flat one morning, put an offer on it in the afternoon and had our house on the market by the evening, and it was sold just 4 days later! Jack Andrews always responded quickly to emails and voicemails, and was great interfacing with our buyer, our seller and trademen who did assessments. He also went and spoke to people in a specific road who weren't on the market to see if they would let me come see their place whilst they consider moving.

Romans to avoid. We recently had our property valued by Romans in Yateley. The valuation was up to £330,00 In view of the excellent condition of the property. We placed the property on the market for less than the maximum valuation. A few weeks later we had a viewing from an employee of Romans , although he did not advise us of that at the viewing. He subsequently placed an offer of nearly £20,000 less than the asking price stating ridiculous reasons for such a low offer. This was on an email to our agent. He appears to be going around making silly offers for his own financial gain. Looking for vulnerable or desperate owners who he can exploit. Would you trust someone to achieve the best price for your property when he wants to buy yours for well under the market price ? He also appears to be viewing property that he cannot afford and is a complete time waster. A very un pleasant experience from a very un professional individual.

It’s a refreshing change to meet someone that clearly loves their job and company.They kept in touch and updated me with market conditions, prices and movement so by the time I was ready to sell we both had an understanding of expectations. The process since has been so smooth, thanks to Kerris (move manager at Romans), completion date is agreed and exchange of contracts done. When you are waiting to Exchange and Complete on a House Move the most important thing is to know what is going on. We were always able to get hold of someone whatever the time and this commitment to working hard has helped, when we wanted to view houses during the evenings. Sam and Ashleigh took the time to get to know us and what we were looking for so they could match appropriate properties to us.
They are always there to answer any questions no matter how trivial, especially Elliott. They go that extra mile to make sure everything gets done at the right time.

I was pleased that Romans Mortgage Services offered the best deal for me and my budget. However, it was the service I received from Steven Whittington that I would highly recommend. Steven took all the pressure away from the process. Prompt with replies and happy to help with the whole procedure. I was expecting to struggle with jargon and endless forms but Steven walked through all this with me and ensured I understood each step. I will definitely be tracking Steven down next time I need a mortgage. Exceptional at his job and very personable with it. Actually made re mortgaging fun !!

We cannot fault the team at Yateley, namely Daniel, Luke and Jackie , all of whom worked tirelessly to successfully sell our home in Yateley.
One of the most important factors for us was the management service that they now offer. This was run by Jackie Stilwell who was amazing! Jackie kept us informed and up to date throughout the entire process once our house was sold and we had an offer accepted on our purchase and nothing was too much trouble for her. Despite us not purchasing our new home through Romans, they were far more helpful than the agent that we did purchase through.
We would have no hesitation in recommending the team at Yateley to anyone and would certainly use them should we move again.
