No communication, no updates, they over value a property to get you on board and then you have to keep reducing the price because they cannot sell it. 2 years to sell a property during a time when all houses were flying off the shelves! Anything associated with Duckworths, I would stay well away unless you want to lose money. They don't care and it shows in their service.

Nothing was ever too much and the team was always prepared to go that extra mile to ensure world class services. They stand true to their promises and are always looking for the best solutions and do not rest until all is completed at the highest standard. The whole process was as smooth as possible, the team always responded promptly to all the queries, suggested the most efficient solutions and made everything stress free for us. I highly recommend Northwood. Although we decided in the end to sell our house, we met the rentals team as well and couldn't be happier with all the advice and services we received from both sides. He was down to earth, personable, and immediately put me at ease during what was a very emotional time. The sale ended up taking a full year due to a midway timewaster, but Matthew remained consistently helpful, empathetic, and professional throughout. He kept me informed, responded quickly to every email, and never lost momentum or patience — even when things got frustrating. Selling a family home is never just about property — it’s about memories, legacy, and trust. 2nd Nov 2025 (8 days ago)Written on behalf of my Grandad who lived at the art school for 9 Years! The Art School in Darwen is managed by Mike and his team at William Thomas Estates, Bolton. I have always found all the staff to be courteous, any tenancy issues were resolved quickly. Fellow tenants were mainly private but polite. The Art School is maintained to an impeccable standard. Mine was a great experience there together with the lovely staff at William Thomas and not forgetting Clive, the Site Man. Thank you. ????

3rd Oct 2025 (5 weeks ago)They were instructed in Feb and the sale (if it actually goes through) won't complete until Dec/Jan. I was contacted by at least 7 different people and each time they dropped the selling price by at least £5k but more often £15k. I was finally persuaded to sell to a cash buyer, but guess what, another lie.... Buyer will be getting a mortgage so not the 6 weeks completion but more likely 12 weeks. I don't think any of the Let Property representatives who I dealt with told me the truth. I deeply regret ever contacting them and would not advise anyone to use them.
