To Ian Watkins we are not just a house number, he knows us by name The day of moving in we were given a gift box with lovely treats and a small concern about the house was dealt with quickly and efficiently. 19th Mar 2024 (6 weeks ago)I have been renting a property with this estate agency since September 2023 and have had the worst experience. From the day we moved in we identified several severe maintenance issues with our property which we informed Bessie (our property manager) of immediately. Initially it took us weeks to hear back as I emailed several times and called the office and was told i would be contacted back and never was. This has been on going for almost 7 months now of our 11 month contract. The quality of service is very poor and essentially unacceptable. I had filed a formal complaint which was not escalated and asked to speak to a manager several times and no one has contacted me. No exaggeration this has been the worst customer service experience I have faced.

Being able to contact during a fast paced lettings cycle is so important and after taking my mother in law for a viewing today, Paige was accommodating and had every answer ready which was just superb. A must use for rental and purchases in Sussex
3rd Apr 2024 (26 days ago)I recently concluded a tenancy with Alexandre Boyes, I feel it's important to share my experience for the benefit of future tenants. Initially, the estate seemed promising; however, I soon faced significant issues. The most pressing was a large damp problem within both bedrooms of the property, which was acknowledged by the agency but, disappointingly, remained unresolved for the last six months of my tenancy. This not only affected my living conditions but also raised concerns about long-term health impacts. Another surprising oversight was the miscommunication regarding the property's parking situation. I was informed the road was public, but it turned out to be private, leading to unnecessary tension with neighbors. Furthermore, my experience with the deposit return process was particularly stressful. The attempt to withhold the majority of my deposit without clear justification was unsettling. Thankfully, the Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS) mediated, resulting in a £400 return in my favor, which highlighted the discrepancies in the agency's claims. Despite these challenges, I attempted to facilitate a smooth transition by allowing viewings after I moved out, two months before the end of my agreement. I even reached out proactively to ensure the property was left in a satisfactory condition for the next tenant. Regrettably, my efforts to communicate and address potential issues were met with silence, only for these same points to be unfoundedly cited against me at the end of the tenancy. I could talk to more examples of failure from Alexandre Boyes such as the broken back gate which they were aware of as I had reported it twice already, The next door neighbor ended up paying for the repairs in the end due to the lack of response from Alexandre Boyes. This experience has been a learning curve. While I understand that managing properties and expectations can be challenging, transparency, communication, and action are crucial in the estate agency business. I hope this feedback serves as constructive criticism for Alexandre Boyes, to improve their service for future tenants.
29th Sep 2021 (2 years ago)W Welch, well where to begin. Wesley was the agent we both sold our property through and also aided us in our purchase of our new home. To sum this up in a few words... Wesley has been so kind, understanding, helpful, prompt and professional through out. W Welch offer a personal touch which I really liked, I felt that I could contact Wesley and ask any question and he would always take the time to answer me. All in all a great company, friendly, professional all wrapped in one. Great job all of you who work for W Welch.

Clear expectation of potential timescales, costs and issues to be aware of were provided by all staff whom we met and whose attitude was to look after my wife and I throughout the marketing process

12th Feb 2024 (11 weeks ago)Officeless. They seem to me to operate from the local Pub. They do not have an office. That explains that, based on high background noise and the level of low common sense, when I spoke to them they seem to me that they operate directly from the local pub. Also explains the psychodrama of their unprofessional behaviour. My recommendation is to find yourself a estate agent with an office as this one seems to me to operate from the local pub. Nothing wrong I guess with running the business from the pub, it could be convenient for meals and drinks, I guess, but not for my personal professional standard. I guess it is another type of business, for another type of people. Not better or worse, just different.

I couldn’t fault them. They were always on hand to answer any questions or update me on the process. Nothing was too much trouble. If at any point I was to consider relocating to another property, I would certainly consider using them to sell my house. The organisation of viewings and the communication to me of the outcomes was impressive. The property was sold within a week at £5K over the asking price.

As a landlord who always wants to do the right thing by the tenant and property, I would not be without Sean.
