17th Jan 2022 (2 years ago)Unfortunately, they couldn't find a buyer for my stunning flat themselves and had to enlist an outside estate agent, and had me stump up extra money to help compensate them. So they got it done after the end of the contact term, but it cost me £thousands more. This was after they earlier had asked me to agree to halt showings as demanded by an earlier (lower) offer that I reluctantly accepted. That buyer ended up walking weeks later, wasting precious time that could have been spent finding a real buyer. Estate agents are not your friend. No matter how charming they appear before their engagement contract is signed, once you sign it, they revert to their true mercenary selves, pressuring you to accept offers well below the very valuation they provided, because their only loyalty is to earning their fee. Don't get fooled. Wish I never used this JDW office.

Very knowledgeable, trustworthy and always available to answer ridiculous questions, provide advice and generally have a good chat with! And they secured a great offer for my property which was maintained through to completion. Thoroughly accountable, pragmatic, dedicated and full of integrity. Thank you!
23rd Aug 2022 (1 year ago)The agent sold the property within a day at a price above the asking price. He had previously said that he thought this was possible. Contracts still have to be exchanged but I am confident the sale will go ahead

To Ian Watkins we are not just a house number, he knows us by name The day of moving in we were given a gift box with lovely treats and a small concern about the house was dealt with quickly and efficiently. I have recommended them to friends and would strongly advise that you chose Ian Watkins too. A genuine review

19th Mar 2024 (28 days ago)I have been renting a property with this estate agency since September 2023 and have had the worst experience. From the day we moved in we identified several severe maintenance issues with our property which we informed Bessie (our property manager) of immediately. Initially it took us weeks to hear back as I emailed several times and called the office and was told i would be contacted back and never was. This has been on going for almost 7 months now of our 11 month contract. The quality of service is very poor and essentially unacceptable. I had filed a formal complaint which was not escalated and asked to speak to a manager several times and no one has contacted me. No exaggeration this has been the worst customer service experience I have faced.

Being able to contact during a fast paced lettings cycle is so important and after taking my mother in law for a viewing today, Paige was accommodating and had every answer ready which was just superb. A must use for rental and purchases in Sussex

Estate agents get a bad rap but all the staff we dealt with at Mathers were honest and helpful. From Helen who valued the bungalow and the whole team. Viewings, feedback and updates. You made the process much easier. ????

We switched to HW after our existing agents were not getting much relevant interest and were making mistakes, missing appointments etc. HW were friendly professional and supportive, we dealt with Niaombh and Adam who I can thoroughly recommend!

Foster and Co is extremely responsive and helpful. The documentation and video they did to promote our property was very professional and looked great. We highly recommend this estate agent.
12th Feb 2024 (9 weeks ago)Officeless. They seem to me to operate from the local Pub. They do not have an office. That explains that, based on high background noise and the level of low common sense, when I spoke to them they seem to me that they operate directly from the local pub. Also explains the psychodrama of their unprofessional behaviour. My recommendation is to find yourself a estate agent with an office as this one seems to me to operate from the local pub. Nothing wrong I guess with running the business from the pub, it could be convenient for meals and drinks, I guess, but not for my personal professional standard. I guess it is another type of business, for another type of people. Not better or worse, just different.

2nd Jul 2023 (9 mo. ago)The local knowledge was spot on which helped fix the price. The publicity produced 12 viewings and 6 offers within a week. The organisation of viewings and the communication to me of the outcomes was impressive. The property was sold within a week at £5K over the asking price.

As a landlord who always wants to do the right thing by the tenant and property, I would not be without Sean. Communication is prompt, proactive and efficient; he will always pick up the phone and offer as much time and advice as is necessary. A rare aspect in business these days.
