24th Jan 2022 (2 years ago)After 4 years of no problems our landlord chose to switch to Darlows because they were offering “a better service for landlords”... not only did this turn out to be the exact opposite for our landlord but our family of 4 (2 adults + 2 children) had to suffer over and over before we eventually had enough and were forced to find another property to keep our family safe & warm. The staff were buck passers who never dealt with anything that involved effort, as a result our landlord paid thousands for a new boiler and repairs that were unnecessary and could have been avoided if action was taken as it should have been (boiler leaked for 3 days and brought a ceiling down - we could not stop the leak and no one knew where a stop tap was!!) this is just 1 example I can assure you there are many more just as bad, our landlord is taking further action and ultimately had to sell the property. We cannot emphasise enough that as a tenant or landlord you are taking a big risk by using Darlows! I am sure more will surface in time. You have been warned.

We were always kept informed of appointments, active in sending the feedback and offers through , and there was always good communication between all members of the staff and ourselves. The staff went above and beyond to make the selling process as smooth as possible for us as the clients. I highly recommend them.
10th Feb 2023 (1 year ago)We’ve let a number of our properties, both locally (and throughout south Wales) via Matthew and his team at First 4 Rentals, for many years, and constantly received a professional, capable and friendly service. In over 25 years of dealing with various agents throughout Wales, First 4 Rentals is the only one I’ve ever been impressed with enough to write a public review. Their level of service, attention to detail, prompt communication and helpfulness is something that sets them apart from lesser agents. Over the years, Matthew has helped sort out everything that a remote landlord will encounter, and all with satisfactory outcomes, for both us, and the tenants. (We were always relived to know we had found a letting agent who supported and facilitated our goal of being a decent and fair landlord, always ensuring all aspects of the letting process were compliant, safe and secure for both parties) Additionally, their level of personal attention is exemplary. By way of example; we requested a swift turnaround on a vacant property in Cardiff city centre at then end of last week - today at 8am a comprehensive video inspection report arrived in my inbox! Having engaged and supported us with both sales and lettings, Matthew consistently delivers a first class service, and I have no hesitation in recommending his services to anyone needing a trusted partner in what, for many of us, can be a challenging arena.

I dealt mainly with Chloe and she was brilliant at communicating throughout the whole process, always returning calls or emails promptly and giving regularupdates. She actually saved me a big delay, due to my surveyors, by noticing they hadn't been in touch with the vendor after they told we they would be. Overall I would highly recommend.

I didn't want to move having been in my previous home for over 11yrs and I had a list of things my new home would need to have. I didn't make it easy but with plenty of patience and understanding you all played your part in supporting me and now I'm so glad that I had to move ????. We were extremely happy to have the services of June, Helen and Sue who we found to be friendly, professional, efficient and ultimately successful in securing our property sale. 26th Sep 2024 (27 days ago)I rented a property from belvoir for 1 year. It was a nice house and our property manager Julia was lovely. We informed her about the tap & shower leak and the hole where the heater supposed to go but no repair has been done. We had taken house insurance as well. But we had a small burn on the vinyl flooring which was informed to belvoir on the day it happened. And they took 400 pound from our deposit. Fair enough, no complaints. But when my partner asked for their reference to move to a new house, belvoir showed their nasty behaviour and gave a bad reference so he didn’t get the house. It was clearly unprofessional and if it had costed more they could have taken more money off the deposit but after taking money and insurance this was very much uncalled for.

Despite eventually deciding not to proceed with the purchase, I would not hesitate to contact and work with Watkins again should a suitable house come up for sale. Personable, efficient and accommodating. Can't ask for anything more than that. Thank you.

31st Jul 2024 (12 weeks ago)Our overall experience with Bettermove is one of disappointment. They sold a model whereby they would market our property to their pool of investors. Essentially they put our house on Rightmove for a slightly higher price then they said they would pay us and left it there. I had to chase for updates and when they responded it was to say that their investors thought the price was an issue! So why didnt you speak to us about that and say what we thought to reducing. I dont actually think they've got investors, just people who want a cash purchase in certain areas. Fortunately we didn't pay Bettermove any money for their services and we ended the contract as soon as we could

I'd invited multiple estate agents to appraise my property, and Red Kite stood out head and shoulders above the others. Darren is simply a lovely guy - a man of sincerity and integrity. He took real care to understand everything my house had to offer, and I felt his genuine passion and excitement for the job of finding the right buyers, together with his excellent knowledge of the area. Naturally, it wasn't long until an offer was on the table, and when it came to the crunch time of negotiating with the prospective buyers, it was clear that I could absolutely trust Darren to help achieve a fair price on my behalf. Once the sale was agreed, there was no let-up in their commitment to seeing it through to completion. Hayley worked brilliantly with the solicitors and provided detailed weekly updates on the progress. Our WhatsApp group allowed for easy and stress-free communication throughout the whole process. Darren continued to go above and beyond in accommodating extra visits for the buyers' families and accompanying the surveyor for the buyers' mortgage - it was so reassuring to know he was present when this took place. I cannot recommend Darren and Hayley from Red Kite highly enough!
