6th Apr 2024 (27 days ago)Our experience with Mov8 was easy they kept us informed with viewing and communication was prompt. The only thing was their offices are in Edinburgh and Glasgow and we are in Carnoustie which was a little inconvenient if we needed to go to their office to sign things
15th Sep 2023 (7 mo. ago)Avoid at all costs. They dealt with the conveyancing when we sold one house and would have done for the buying of a new one had we not sacked them first. They were slow and totally unproactive. At best they acted like an expensive post box. The final straw was when they "forgot" to hand over a significant deposit of tens of thousands of pounds we had paid to them for onward transmission to a major nationwide house builder as an essential part of the contract. This only came to light when I asked for confirmation of receipt of the money from the builder weeks after it was due but they said they hadn't received it. Initially I thought the builder was at fault but then a light bulb moment made me think it was Deans and who knows how much longer Deans would have sat on our money had I not proactively intervened. When I asked for an explanation Deans said "they weren't asked" for the deposit. Feeble. £200 compensation was nowhere enough for the stress caused. It was only by the exceptional customer service from the nationwide house builder that we didn't lose the house.
14th Mar 2024 (7 weeks ago)Lack of communication and not pro-active as I had to instigate them doing anything. Pricing is terrible everything is an extra add on with vat on everything. Too expensive for lack of contact and or proactivity.

16th Feb 2022 (2 years ago)Worst company imaginable. Gave us misinformation for over six months regarding entry dates and also told us development was finished when it was not. Double check everything you are told by them. They misled us and we ended up over £18000 out of pocket. Avoid this company at all cost. They don’t admit liability for anything they do.

5th Apr 2024 (28 days ago)Extremely poor communication, from a very rude and abrasive admin working in Linlithgow I believe. We phoned to put an offer on a bungalow in Livingston, to be told you can't, you need to do it through solicitor. I took advice phoned them back and said I've been told I can put verbal offer, woman huffed and said it's not how we do it, so you want me to put the offer to the vendor??? I said yes please, she huffed again! Our solicitor then phoned 10mins later to put formal offer in, to be told vendors on holiday so need to get hold of them! Next day the bungalow in Dovecote Place had UNDER OFFER ... We had NOT even been told, when my Solicitor phoned told it's under offer to someone else, the rude woman refused to give any other details, failed to follow legal rules about informing of other offers, and didnt return my call after!! Our first viewing we didn't even get a follow up call to see if we like it, their clearly taking a lot of money from people who've lost relatives as this was also part of an estate following a death. I've emailed to make a formal complaint, I'd be surprised if the vendor was even told of our offer, this company do nothing to earn the extortionate fees they charge, I'd never recommend them to anyone!!!

16th Sep 2023 (7 mo. ago)I recently put my property up for sale with Drummond Miller. The “selling” part of this service was poor. It appeared as if the leading agent, Robert, didn’t care in the slightest, as emphasised by the very nonchalant responses to my queries throughout. My ad was also full of errors (including my address) and when pointed out I was assured this would be changed, which it wasn’t, prior to going live. Once sold I can’t fault the service in terms of the sale and legal work. Pam was professional, helpful and reassuring throughout the remainder of the process. I have mixed feelings towards Drummond Miller LLP now but due to the poor initial service I wouldn’t recommend.

Not ideal - feel like they had too much work to handle mine at the time. The staff were consistently professional, knowledgeable, and transparent in their communication with us throughout the entire process. They kept us informed at each stage and were punctual in responding despite the time differences to where we live. When I started getting anxious as the settlement date approached, the staff at Neilson's were reassuring and gave us confidence that the transaction would be completed on time.
