6th Apr 2024 (23 days ago)Our experience with Mov8 was easy they kept us informed with viewing and communication was prompt. The only thing was their offices are in Edinburgh and Glasgow and we are in Carnoustie which was a little inconvenient if we needed to go to their office to sign things
15th Sep 2023 (7 mo. ago)Avoid at all costs. They dealt with the conveyancing when we sold one house and would have done for the buying of a new one had we not sacked them first. They were slow and totally unproactive. At best they acted like an expensive post box. The final straw was when they "forgot" to hand over a significant deposit of tens of thousands of pounds we had paid to them for onward transmission to a major nationwide house builder as an essential part of the contract. This only came to light when I asked for confirmation of receipt of the money from the builder weeks after it was due but they said they hadn't received it. Initially I thought the builder was at fault but then a light bulb moment made me think it was Deans and who knows how much longer Deans would have sat on our money had I not proactively intervened. When I asked for an explanation Deans said "they weren't asked" for the deposit. Feeble. £200 compensation was nowhere enough for the stress caused. It was only by the exceptional customer service from the nationwide house builder that we didn't lose the house.
14th Mar 2024 (7 weeks ago)Lack of communication and not pro-active as I had to instigate them doing anything. Pricing is terrible everything is an extra add on with vat on everything. Too expensive for lack of contact and or proactivity.

16th Feb 2022 (2 years ago)Worst company imaginable. Gave us misinformation for over six months regarding entry dates and also told us development was finished when it was not. Double check everything you are told by them. They misled us and we ended up over £18000 out of pocket. Avoid this company at all cost. They don’t admit liability for anything they do.
7th Jun 2023 (10 mo. ago)Amazing service from Warners - all staff were attentive and supportive from the beginning. Even with a sale fall through and having to go back on the market, they helped ease the upset of what was a really upsetting time, found me a new buyer and completed 6 weeks later. Cannot fault their service, Caitlin Meaney was my negotiator and made me feel like nothing was too much trouble and gave fantastic advice / came across very knowledgeable on the market for the area and time I was selling. Would 100% recommend Warners, and have already done so to a few also looking to sell. I met with around 4 estate agencies total and Warners were the clear choice from the start. Thanks so much for all your help! We now have sold our flat and purchased our forever family home and couldn’t have done it without your help.

The sale of our house was a big step for me and my family as it was our first family home with so many special memories and Chris was the absolute perfect person to help us on that journey. From the initial discussion through the day of the sale and beyond, he was more supportive than we could have ever asked for. Even when we had the stress of having to put our house back on the market due to our initial buyers falling through, he helped guide us on best next steps. His knowledge of the industry is unparalleled and it being a family business just gives everything an even more special feeling. Thank you Chris, Laura, Christeen and Angela. You were all the absolute dream team. We can’t ever thank you all enough. If you are selling your house please trust me when I say they are the absolute best in the business.

5th Apr 2024 (24 days ago)Extremely poor communication, from a very rude and abrasive admin working in Linlithgow I believe. We phoned to put an offer on a bungalow in Livingston, to be told you can't, you need to do it through solicitor. I took advice phoned them back and said I've been told I can put verbal offer, woman huffed and said it's not how we do it, so you want me to put the offer to the vendor??? I said yes please, she huffed again! Our solicitor then phoned 10mins later to put formal offer in, to be told vendors on holiday so need to get hold of them! Next day the bungalow in Dovecote Place had UNDER OFFER ... We had NOT even been told, when my Solicitor phoned told it's under offer to someone else, the rude woman refused to give any other details, failed to follow legal rules about informing of other offers, and didnt return my call after!! Our first viewing we didn't even get a follow up call to see if we like it, their clearly taking a lot of money from people who've lost relatives as this was also part of an estate following a death. I've emailed to make a formal complaint, I'd be surprised if the vendor was even told of our offer, this company do nothing to earn the extortionate fees they charge, I'd never recommend them to anyone!!!

Most recently, our solicitor Susan Oates managed our sale and purchase transactions with great professionalism, managing to negotiate a rather complex missives agreement ahead of our planned completion date, while keeping us informed and updated at all times. The excellent service has continued after the sale was completed while we closed out a number of material issues with our property. I would be happy to recommend McDougall McQueen and consider their services to provide excellent value for money and help to take the stress out of a house move.

Nothing Jackie and I can say will ever be enough to be put into words the gratitude and thanks that we give for your hard work that you have all put in to not only selling our property but giving us the home we have so desired for so long . There were many times we were quite ready to throw in the towel but through your sheer tenacity Coilin you never gave up and soldiered on with this constant belief that its not over till its over. Your problem solving spirit shows no limits and you jumped every hurdle put in front of you and thank god you did. I always said there is no price you can put on experience and you and Issey and your team have proved that without a doubt , the longevity of your company is testimony to your ability to deliver what you say to the best of your ability and should I require your services again I would not hesitate to call you or recommend you to anyone who may wish to travel down the road we have in full confidence. You are not just our Estate Agent Colin selling our home you are our friend who will always be welcome in our new home which you delivered to us as you said you would and for that we will be forever grateful.

Handed in a load of forms only to find out they not been passed on to relevant authorities. 1 form was already filled out, just needed a signature from lawyer. Its now the end of march and form still not been sent. Called to ask why and told if not happy find another lawyer... Is that good practice?

Throughout both they have been professional, efficient and a pleasure to deal with. Shout outs for Eileen Henderson and Sinead Duffy who have been excellent throughout the process. 24th Mar 2024 (5 weeks ago)What an amazing service from start to finish from both Jennifer, Andrew and Janice. For anyone who wants a simple, and efficient estate agent look no further. Our house went up on the market the week of Christmas when most estate agents close. Not Avenue Road. They made sure that everything still processed as normal and our house went up within days to ensure we were able to reserve our new home. The whole process was easy with them and made it very simple and straight forward for us. Andrew was always on hand for us regarding any viewings and interest. Jennifer was giving us regular updates and keeping us in the loop. One thing I would say which stands them out from the crowd is they are always on hand. For example we had a request at 10pm on a Saturday night for a viewing which we were delighted about. Within minutes we had it booked. You won’t get that 24/7 service anywhere else. At the very start we had a few estate agents come to negotiate with us but felt like a number with them and just another tick box. With Jennifer and Andrew we were a family looking to sell and move to our forever home and they wanted it for us. I could go on and on about how amazing they were and so grateful for them. I have recommended them to everyone I know and will continue to do so. Thank you again and always welcome for a cuppa in our new home.
