The woman dealing with us had an attitude and when we were trying to sort things out she threw the paperwork at us. She was shouting at us and giving abuse and told us to leave for asking questions. So rude and unprofessional. And that was the manager.
4th Dec 2025 (7 weeks ago)I used Kemps to sell my late parents house at distance. Peter Kemp knows the area better than most and was very helpful in his advice. The office dealt with all the viewings making it easy for me in a practical sense and didn’t grumble at the large number of viewings. I was pleased that they would give their opinions (when asked) as you don’t always see things as the buyer might of course. I am happy to recommend for anyone with my scenario.

We had some unfortunate things happen in our selling journey but Kerry was positive all the way and really restored my faith the whole time. She’s a pleasure to have dealt with. I’m sure the whole team are amazing too. Highly recommend anyone to sell with Bramleys in elland !
6th Jan 2026 (17 days ago)Very happy with the service provided. They did what they said, on time and explained what the next steps would be. No gimmicks or overpromising! They know the local area very well, the communication was well paced, realistic and relevant. The latter part of 2025 housing market conditions have proved difficult based on the economical impacts and due to the seasonality. Despite that things have progressed nicely.

11th Dec 2025 (6 weeks ago)My boyfriend was renting a house in Huddersfield around 7 months ago when we first became a couple. I lived 2 hours away so this was my first and ended up being my only time visiting his home, When I went to his house I was actually so shocked I ended up taking him home with me the same week best decision of my life, after extending my stay to help him sort through his things to leave. The property had a severe rodent problem, his personal items were destroyed by rats and every problem he reported to them that he showed me (a long list) never got fixed. His life was made miserable by rats, leaks, mould and dangerous living conditions for years. There was rats coming through skirting boards, floors and even chewed through his daughters stuffed toys, most of his other belongings and left feces everywhere. My parents after hearing about this drove the 2 hours to come collect his things, entered the house and were also shocked and said they could not believe what he had been living in, it visibly upset my dad and my mam was in disbelief. After leaving the property white gates saw fit to attempt to charge him around £1500 for the damage to the property he had the great displeasure of living in. We tried to have a phone call to have it explained to us why he was being charged and I ended up taking the phone out of his hand because after explaining that to a very ignorant woman that his austistic daughters belongings were covered in rat droppings and rat urine she did not care and disregarded what he just said completely continuing in a uncaring tone that he would be charged. No empathy, no care, no apology for what he had been living in. Nothing. We both appealed this to a higher level and they did not get their £1500. SHOCKER. If you want your house to come with free pets and you like rodents these guys are the one for you.

They helped make the process smoother and communication was excellent. Highly recommend these guys and thank you so much for all the help and keeping me ion the loop with the onward purchase.

18th Mar 2024 (1 year ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
