5th Jul 2024 (6 mo. ago)I'm writing this review as a fellow estate agent. I've recently had Rural Scene in a chain with myself and Richard was absolutely fantastic. He is extremely proactive and provided us with updates weekly so that our chain moved forward smoothly and we have just today exchanged contracts. If anyone is looking for a rural estate agent then I would highly recommend Rural Scene. As an agent myself the good ones stand out and Richard is brilliant.

4th May 2024 (8 mo. ago)Dreadful service - lack of communication, lack or creativity and allowed a buyer to walk away mid sale without contacting them! Hold customers to ransom. Dont use
6th May 2024 (8 mo. ago)Initial impression was very good. We were led to believe the market was good and to give it a go at the higher end of the valuation. We were promised a premium marketing plan with professional photos and description which would justify the premium price valuation for the area. We agreed to wait 3 weeks to launch on Boxing Day being led to believe there would be several enquiries and viewing requests to hold an open house event in January. Despite having 3 weeks to prepare the marketing materials the standard was far below expectations. The photographs were poor the description omitted several of the unique selling features of our house . We were presented with the brochure the day before the deadline for the Boxing Day launch and requested several initial amendments to the description but we could not alter the photographs so I was forced to take some photos myself to be included. Following a subsequent complaint we were told that if we’re not satisfied with the marketing we were at liberty to suggest changes with no acknowledgement of the short timescale and the extremely poor standard of the initial marketing. I was later told by the sales manager that the photographs and description are not that important anyway !!! We were told that the agents would be ringing around purchasers on their books to generate interest. When we had no interest generated and asked what they had done we never received a full answer which would match what had been promised. We began to hear stories of WH Brown not getting back to potential purchasers when leaving answer phone messages and suspect ( though cannot be proven ) that this happened to us . We believe this because in a four month period an almost identical property had 7 viewings when we only had 1. When we stopped contacting the branch we heard nothing from them for a whole month at which point we submitted a formal complaint. In our experience this agency did the very minimum to sell our house. The initial confidence led us to sign a sole agency agreement which now means that if we sell to one of 3 clients they claim they introduced ( highly unlikely but not the point) They will persue a claim for 3% fee . Be very wary of signing such a contract.

11th Dec 2024 (5 weeks ago)Contacted lettings regarding arranging a viewing. The receptionist was not very pleasant and was abrupt. She arranged a time for a viewing and then asked for me for details if I match a potential tenants criteria. Some of the questions were relevant but others like how old my cat is & if it stays in or goes out were ridiculous. As we are both pensioners she said we don't pass the criteria financially so suggested a guarantor. I said I can pay the full contract term up in one sum out of my savings. She said that is not possible as it would alter the contract. Her attitude was getting more surly especially when I said I will have to inform my family member first before putting them forward as a guarantor. I went off the phone to do this but not happy the way I was being treated. Within half an hour I phoned back to be answered by another abrupt person who claimed to be the manager and said in off-hand fashion the let has gone hours ago. Well why was they going to arrange a viewing that afternoon? The manner she said it aroused suspicion it was a lie. So beware and be forewarned if you are considering dealing with this office.

5th Aug 2024 (23 weeks ago)Not professional. Estate Agent comes across as very leary. As a women on my own this is very concerning. Will not tell you when signing up - if you have to withdraw for unforseen circumstances they will charge you a withdrawal fee. They should mention this when signing up- it should be made clear. A bad experience & appalling service

31st Dec 2024 (14 days ago)Claire valued our property, she was pleasant and professional - we didn’t feel under any pressure. The sale was predominantly handled by Chloe, she was always available the same day of me contacting her, she went above and beyond and would make calls to hurry the process along. The sale was agreed in June and we’d moved out by October, and that was with holdups from our solicitor. If Chloe was on leave or out of office, she would have left our file up to date. This meant the other staff could help and they did. Absolutely cannot recommend Fairweather’s highly enough.
23rd Dec 2024 (22 days ago)Sad to be writing such a poor review as Kinetic seemed so promising, but they failed to deliver every one of their promises. Marketing materials were mostly very good, but took 3 times as long to produce as we were promised. The floor plan was not provided for us to review before going online and turned out to be a ‘cut and paste’ of a neighbouring property, so was not at all accurate. Whilst we were contacted every 2 weeks with updates on how many hits our property had on the various websites, it was a case of being thrown statistics and then asked what we wanted to do about it. As the ‘experts’ in the business, I expect them to advise me what to do, not expect me to interpret the market and tell them what to do. On the one occasion they gave the advice to drop the price again, I asked why when a nearby property, which was smaller, with a smaller plot and was on a main road had sold within a week at the same price as ours; they were unaware of the sale and couldn’t find it on the marketing platforms! Our main issue was with the viewings. For the first 2 viewings the agent was late and for one of those the viewers were left sat on the drive waiting. For the second and third viewings they arranged them 15 minutes apart. Viewers from the first appointment were left to see themselves out of the back gate so the agent could show the next viewers in the front. The agent listed the features of the property and was praised as being knowledgeable by the viewers, but did not explain the features that justified our property being valued higher than a neighbouring property, resulting in feedback that ours was only worth the same as that neighbouring property. We were promised things would improve, but for the final viewing, the agent failed to turn up at all!!! Eventually we got a story about car troubles, but the viewers and I were only told 15 minutes after the appointment and only when the viewers contacted them. At each step, Kinetic have been receptive to our comments and promised to improve, but sadly things only ever got worse. After the last, disastrous viewing, our complaint resulted in an early release from our contract.
