19th Mar 2026 (7 weeks ago)Poor experience with this letting agent, not helped by the tightest landlord (Kate) who wouldn't pay for repairs to be done in a timely manner, leaving our family in tricky circumstances more than once. When they do eventually send someone over to complete the work, it'll be done shoddily. I hope that £43 you managed to claim back via the DPS versus the nearly £800 you asked for is helpful :) To any renters - be under no illusion, the letting agent works for the landlord and is not there to help you in the slightest. This specific letting agents manager will suggest you scrape and replaster the bathroom ceiling (which was poorly maintained by the landlord) yourself "to make the house your own".

Special mention to Zoe, whose exceptional people skills made a real difference. She kept us informed at every stage, ensuring we felt comfortable and confident in all our dealings with the process. The entire team made what could have been a stressful time feel smooth and straightforward – this includes the extremely efficient and helpful telephone staff that often took our calls and reassured us. Highly recommend Brown and Co for anyone looking to buy or sell – they truly go above and beyond.

They all need training including their managers as it’s a shambles dealing with them and from hear on out I will make sure they’re never recommended. They have no respect for wasting your time and money.
31st Jul 2023 (2 years ago)Living in Bridlington and having to sell my parents property in Louth I was unsure of which estate agent to use , however , I just recalled that a board with "John Taylor " on had been outside my grandparents property way back so I decided on that. What a great decision that was, John Taylor have been exceptional from day one to completion, always at the end of the phone with help and advice, great communications as to when viewings would be ( the property was empty and the keys left with John Taylor, and a great understanding that this was not just a house sale to me but the sale of my family home for the last 69 years, the house I grew up in and called home for all those years. I cannot fault them in any way , the only word I can use is "exceptional" Special thanks to Anne who was outstanding , she is a star. kindest regards to all at John Taylor and many many thanks . My busy work schedule meant that viewings were difficult to attend but Martyn worked around this, allowing me to see the property quickly. He responds to any emails quickly and has been brilliant at ensuring the house sale has gone through. Thank you!

Experienced zero support even when I tried to discuss strategy to ensure better interest in my property. I feel I wasted 16 weeks with little communication or care. Glad to be moving on with another local agent who has already proved themselves to be much more engaged with the seller than I experienced with Hunters in Horncastle.

Angie who co-ordinated the sale was brilliant. Communication was frequent and useful and she was very proactive in her advice to help the sale go through as quickly and efficiently as possible.- 21st Apr 2026 (14 days ago)I cannot recommend these guys enough! I recently had some trouble at the end of my tenancy and they were so helpful, going out of their way to offer as much support as they could! We are now much happier in our dream property that we would never have purchased if it was not for Charlotte giving us some confidence. Claire who we never meet but was just has friendly and kept us up to date on how sale was going and chasing solicitors etc. We are glad everything worked out in the end and would definitely recommend Charlotte and Claire to any body buying or selling Michael/Alison Whelan

When we went to collect the keys to our new house, we were delighted to receive a welcome hamper of prosecco and Yorkshire goodies.

We needed good communication as we were selling from abroad and from start to finish the PGM team were polite, efficient and effective. Thankyou guys. Can't recommend highly enough. Will use again.
