19th Mar 2026 (7 weeks ago)Poor experience with this letting agent, not helped by the tightest landlord (Kate) who wouldn't pay for repairs to be done in a timely manner, leaving our family in tricky circumstances more than once. When they do eventually send someone over to complete the work, it'll be done shoddily. I hope that £43 you managed to claim back via the DPS versus the nearly £800 you asked for is helpful :) To any renters - be under no illusion, the letting agent works for the landlord and is not there to help you in the slightest. This specific letting agents manager will suggest you scrape and replaster the bathroom ceiling (which was poorly maintained by the landlord) yourself "to make the house your own".

The entire team made what could have been a stressful time feel smooth and straightforward – this includes the extremely efficient and helpful telephone staff that often took our calls and reassured us. Highly recommend Brown and Co for anyone looking to buy or sell – they truly go above and beyond.

They all need training including their managers as it’s a shambles dealing with them and from hear on out I will make sure they’re never recommended. They have no respect for wasting your time and money.

My busy work schedule meant that viewings were difficult to attend but Martyn worked around this, allowing me to see the property quickly. He responds to any emails quickly and has been brilliant at ensuring the house sale has gone through. Thank you!

Angie who co-ordinated the sale was brilliant. Communication was frequent and useful and she was very proactive in her advice to help the sale go through as quickly and efficiently as possible.
1st Apr 2026 (5 weeks ago)What can I say, we used Ardents to sell our property, they were so professional, friendly and very patient from start to finish, as this sale took 5months and 20days, we all thought it would never happen, but Luke was always positive and communicated all the time, nothing was too much trouble, will be recommending Ardents to everyone, so if you have doubts on who to use then don’t hesitate, give Ardents a ring, Thankyou all for all your hard work, will miss our chats ?????? 24th May 2024 (1 year ago)This is the third time I have used Pridea to sell a property. Exactly the same experience every time. The property sells quickly with one robust sale that goes through to completion. Not my experience of using other estate agents in the area.
9th Mar 2026 (8 weeks ago)A speedy and professional job by Rod, Aaron and all the staff I dealt with Alexander Jacob. I'll try to keep this short; I had a small property for sale in Retford which had been rented for a while with another estate agent in town and I asked what they thought I could get on a sale and after an extensive discussion they suggested it be marketed at £80k and wouldn't budge on it. I was never going to accept this and a third party(thank you Shane!) suggested I speak with Rod, he told me £100k would be easily achievable and indicated a little work be done, which came to less than £1k and was arranged by AJ, and I sold for £110k. I'm not suggesting that this will be everyone's experience but Alexander Jacob clearly have a far, far better grip on how the local market is trending than some other estate agents in town.

28th Mar 2026 (5 weeks ago)I was purchasing a property through Paul Fox and throughout the entire process, including both solicitors failing to communicate and progress, Sharna at Paul Fox was the only one who was proactive, communicative, helpful, and supportive. Getting both of the solicitors to actually communicate properly was like watching two Roombas attempt to knife fight, and Sharna honestly kept me sane. If I decide to sell in the future I'll be using Paul Fox without a doubt.
