6th Apr 2024 (16 weeks ago)Our experience with Mov8 was easy they kept us informed with viewing and communication was prompt. The only thing was their offices are in Edinburgh and Glasgow and we are in Carnoustie which was a little inconvenient if we needed to go to their office to sign things
22nd Jul 2024 (5 days ago)I have been with jewel homes for over ten years they looked after letting my property whilst I was living in Malaysia and keep a close eye on things for me and always kept me up to date with everything going on. my house was continious let the full time I was away, due to the excellant service i had received when it came to selling my house I did not hesitate to use then for and as expected everything went smoothly and they also recommended me to a lawyer which was a bonus as I am still living in Malaysia.

We really appreciate all that he did and the advice he gave. We would highly recommend him and Westgate Estate Agents for selling a house.

Standard of Communication was first class, helped me in more ways than one, through providing advice and suppport with any questions I had for them. Standard was outstanding and got me way over what I thought was achievable for the sale of my house. Would definately recoment this company, you will not be disappointed. 3rd Jun 2024 (8 weeks ago)Disappointing Experience of simply trying to get a home report (and possibly set up a viewing for a property if home report was to my liking) via both Rightmove/their own website/calling them about a place I was interested in for a fortnight and no reply Only time I got any expedited reply was when on one of the several requests i ticked the "yes I have a property to be valued option" and got prompt enough reply in regards to that, but as soon as I requested the home report again from that person as i would need somewhere to move to first, back to radio silence, finally get to speak to someone else today and no luck due to the property has an offer pretty much accepted, would have been nice to have that option myself

Cumbernauld staff brilliant and all costings for their input both clear and reasonable. Everything you need in a one stop branch. I am so glad I chose them and would have no hesitation recommending them to anyone.
13th Jul 2024 (14 days ago)Hi, After reviewing the estate agents in the area I selected igloo as it had the biggest turnover of properties marketed and the price was lowest in the area. Overall I think I can summaries by saying, “ You get what you pay for”. The lower outlay against some of the aspects of selling my house does match up. Positives :- House sold for market valuation. Which was probably the most important thing in the end after a very long time on market. Negatives :- The surveyor recommended and used in my opinion constructed a survey which really didn’t support the sale of my home. Which led to the very long and drawn out sale. The house I feel could have been marketed stronger. Did not get the feeling of any drive to sell it. It felt like sit back and wait for phone to ring. Closed at weekends meant after any viewings at the weekend I had to wait for any feedback. Plus think it led to people loosing interest. Feedback was not very forthcoming. Most occasions I had to call for an update after viewing. Sometimes felt like I was annoying people when I called to find out what was happening. Advised to get a refresh on home report with I did not do as my lawyer advised it was not required. House sale completed without this. Could have been an unnecessary expense. So glad I want with my own lawyer and not one they advised. So overall got the sale after a long wait for market value which was most important but I do think the sales experience could have been better if some of my negative points were removed or improved.

24th May 2024 (9 weeks ago)Where do I start. We had an absolute nightmare with our mortgage advisor. It turned into a comedy of errors at every single stage. BUT lorna and Connor at countrywide stepped in and went above and beyond to help us. They literally saved the day and resolved all issues that were nothing to do with them. A 10 min meeting with Connor who sat with us and worked out or mortgage issue was all that was needed to resolve what another advisor took almost 2 months to do. They have been very helpful in every way. For a young man, Connor is fantastic at his job and very professional. A true credit to his workplace. Lorna was personally invested in helping us, don't know where we would have been without her help. All of this and they were the estate agents for the seller, they didn't have to do anything for us but they made it there mission to push things forward. Amy was a massive help too, I actually speak here like they are all friends of ours. we've spoken to them so much over the last few weeks it feels like it lol. Far too many people now are out to do what they have to do... not the team at airdrie! They have done everything in there power to assist and now me and my wife have our first home.. Thanks a lot guys. We will definitely be using them for any future remortgages or sales.

Very happy in my new property and glad that they removed the stress of having a job but not a house to live in. 18th Mar 2024 (19 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

House sold on day one of release to the market cannot ask for anything better so I was extremely pleased. 5th Jul 2024 (22 days ago)BE VERY CAREFUL!!! Once these lot have your deposit they ignore you. We agreed to buy a buy to let from these and went through the mortgage application with our own agent. We then found out they had overvalued thr property by a fair amount, not allowing us to get a mortgage. We were then told we had to use their mortgage person, which cost us another £300 but we had no option. They also could not get us a mortgage because the value was less than 50k. Upon telling these lot, they are now ignoring our calls, you can't speak to the refund team as only on email, no managers have phones and they won't give us our deposit back even though it states we are entitled to it back for following their stipulations. I'm no being ignored by the salesman Jack and no one will return emails etc. I will be taking this to the Ombudsman too, to highlight this appalling service and blatant overvalued to gain mortgage applicants. They had the same listing on their site for £52,500 and £46,000. We found this after we had agreed a price. So be very careful not to deal with these people. They are rude and have total lack of customer service once they have your deposit. Zero stars from me!!!
