20th Dec 2023 (1 year ago)Absolutely pathetic service. We we lied to from the onset. Rod wouldn't get back for up to a month at a time. Carried out useless work for over inflated prices without permission. Incidentally nothing materialaliaed with anything that he said he had done. Sorry excuse of an Estate Agent and I would keep away real nightmare of a man. He would phone up every 3 to 4 months and say how much did you pay for your property originally and did this for years.
6th Feb 2023 (1 year ago)If it was possible, I'd have given Abbey Forth zero stars. Here's my experience with them: The place I rented from Abbey Forth had not been cleaned when I moved in. It was in a disgusting state with several broken fixtures. I took many photos and informed them that, because I was having to clean my new flat, I wouldn't be paying for the place to be professionally cleaned when I moved out. Throughout my year at the property, they were unprofessional and unhelpful when other problems arose: trying to charge me for boiler repairs (a boiler which was leaking on day 1), failing to resolve a drainage issue outside the kitchen door and, worst of all, falling to resolve an infestation of slugs in the kitchen - an obvious health hazard. When I moved out, they unsurprisingly tried to deduct £190 from my deposit for cleaning. I successfully disputed this charge with the deposit scheme, using the pictures and emails I'd sent them over the length of the tenancy. The deposit scheme found that, as the property was not cleaned to a good condition for the start of the tenancy, that I should only having to pay £60 In summary: Abbey Forth is the worst estate agent I've ever used. Rude staff and a general ethos of trying to squeeze money out of tenants for as little effort as possible. Only sign up with them if you are desperate and have no other options. If this is the case, then please make sure you document everything for inevitable struggle to get your deposit back

30th Nov 2021 (3 years ago)I cannot recommend Liam and his team enough. Although I had an idea of what I wanted for my wedding ring, which did not seem much out of the ordinary, I was finding it difficult to find what I wanted in the usual places. eventually I found Liam's website and an example of what I had been thinking about already present. I was then able to book a one to one session to go over size and material as well as costs and timings at short notice (between lockdowns). This was followed up by another individual sit down with the team to ensure I was happy with the ring as it was being made to order for me. I was allowed see the digital mock-up, select the materials and everything else you might want. I was given advice on what combinations would work, how to care for the material and everything was carried out in a highly professional manner.

Olivia was kind and caring when realising our fears regarding online systems, and helped us patiently step by step. Her youthful vibrancy underpinned by sound legal knowledge made the end process of selling our property far less stressful than anticipated, given her injection of humour at times! We were never left “in limbo” (a past solicitor experience), and emails etc were quickly followed up. Refreshing! We would fully recommend her for the legalities around a property sale.

The Simple Approach Mortage team; Leann, Rhea and all the ladies were so lovely, so kind and explained everything very clearly and simply. They helped to turn the fear of making such a big decision, exciting again. Despite being so new to the whole thing they never made me feel foolish for all my undoubtedly silly questions. I couldn’t be happier with the kind help and service they provided.

18th Mar 2024 (10 mo. ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

We had a few complications during the purchase but Amy was amazing and helped with every question that we had. We are from England originally so we had a few extra questions on the procedures in Scotland but Amy held our hand and guided us through the whole process. I would strongly recommend the services of Amy and Strutt and Parker they have been really amazing from start to finish.

Got me a Fantastic deal in high interest rate market. Once I had secured my property, Gavin mentioned that they do lettings too and impressed by my first hassle free mortgage experience I decided to trust Gavin, Kasim and Hayley to get my property on the market and manage the letting. Again, super fast, efficient and no nonsense approach. I have recommended their service to everyone I have comes across looking for mortgage or letting services.
