She recommended an online solicitor to deal with the mortgage (I really regret going with this option now) I highly recommend everyone not going with this option. You should go with a solicitor that is local to you and someone you can visit in person.

The whole process was made significantly easier by the excellent staff and especially Antonia and Denise. Our particular transaction was quite tricky at times but Luscombe Maye helped to get the deal over the line by chasing solicitors and maintaining excellent communication between ourselves and the Vendor. We can wholeheartedly recommend Luscombe Maye to anyone buying or selling property within the South Hams as they are a pleasure to deal with and provide an exceptional service.

We had previously viewed several places with Megan, Jemima or Polly, who were patient, helpful and very pleasant to deal with. They kept us informed of anything potentially suitable in the area, until we found the home we liked. During the buying period (4 months), all staff were quick to respond to any questions by email or phone. They liaised well between us, the seller & both sets of solicitors to keep the process going forward. Although a small firm, they are professional, efficient and hardworking. Their friendliness and personal attention made the whole process much less stressful... so thanks for your help, Scott and the team.

25th Apr 2025 (7 weeks ago)The whole process of selling my house from beginning to end was carefully, professionally and sensitively managed. Communication with all staff at Christopher’s estate agents was excellent, with timely responses and clarity in passing on information regarding the sale. It was very reassuring to know that I could contact the estate agents at any time and always get to speak one of the staff members straightaway. Responses to questions and requests via email were also very quick. Staff were friendly and amenable and always did their best to resolve issues. I would definitely recommend Christopher’s as the estate agent to use when buying or selling your house.
28th May 2025 (15 days ago)What an utterly disappointing experience. From the beginning: Property details online where missing words, written poorly and did not contain all measurements. We literally had to re-write them. During the sales process, very little guidance and support was offered. Feedback was not useful in any way to help us. None of the agents learnt a single thing about our property. We were simply a number to them. After we finally did get an offer accepted, Jon, the apparent sales chaser contacted us once in the 4 months from sale to completion and took over 24 hours to respond to any communication from us. This was probably the worst part of the experience. I would recommend everyone stay away from these guys and use an agent with a better understanding of the sales process and with a better team to support you through that process. It is a stressful time in general moving house and without the help of a good agent you will be left to your own devises.
21st May 2025 (22 days ago)Stephen of Chase Buchanan suggested selling via the modern day auction method due to the nature of the property. A sound bit of advice and sold within 2 months very close to the asking price. Highly recommended and will be using them again for another property

From viewing the house to moving in, Jon and Natasha were so helpful, they informed us every step of the way and were on hand to answer any questions we had. The day we collected the keys Natasha was present at the property to ensure there were no issues and to answer any last minute questions.
