They were also able to help negotiate the price of our onward purchase with a neighbouring estate agent. In all very happy. Big shout out to Craig Putton who is a lovely guy and very helpful in the whole process. Also Imogen for her excellent and sunny phone manner. ????

From keeping me up to date with what is going on with the sale, solicitors to answering any and all questions I have had. Cannot recommend them enough, if I had to do this all again I would 100% pick Haart!

Fantastic communication and always a pleasure to speak to. Special shout out to James who dealt with the majority of back and forth. 5/5 would recommend.

Super professional and they really get to know you and your home. The whole process was great and they really have your best interests at heart. I highly recommend them.

22nd Apr 2025 (8 weeks ago)Feedback from a recent house transaction using Stonegate Estate Agents Hitchin. We had an unusual period property that was classed as a difficult property to sell according to the other agents that visited the house. They weren’t wrong, there were multiple issues to overcome with title deeds, condition reports and development opportunities. From the first meeting, Kevin from Stonegate’s knew exactly how to market the property, who would be the likely buyers, and the actions required to get the house in a position to market the house. His years of experience and knowledge was obvious compared to the other agents we met with. We placed the house on the market with Stonegate and was introduced to Anne who would be selling the property and carrying out the viewing. Anne’s went to great lengths to understand the house, the issues and the potential the house had, this made all the difference. Each viewer was told of the history of the house and the potential of the property, she was instrumental in gaining viewings and offers on the property and ultimately securing a buyer. Anne and Keith worked with the buyer and their team and me to overcome the obstacles and challenges and provided outstanding service and professionalism. The regular feed back from Anne and Keith was spot on each time, prompt and insightful. Honestly, if you are looking for and agent and want that professional approach and expertise then look no further. I highly recommended them as a team.

Their professionalism, service, attentiveness, responsiveness and attention to detail is more than I ever thought I'd get from them as letting agents. They put in effort with viewings and found a great tenant for my house. I'd advise any landlord going with them. There is a reason why they have the best Google reviews of any lettings agent in Stevenage!
26th Jun 2021 (3 years ago)If you are selling your house in the Arlesey area, in my opinion, you would be mad not to use Gothic Estates. They not only have the lowest fees they give by far the best service of any estate agent I have ever bought or sold with. I never had to chase them once for information, they were always keeping us up to date throughout the process. I can honestly say if it were not for them chasing solicitors up and down our chain there is either a good chance our chain would have fallen apart or we would have moved many, many, weeks later than we did. From great pragmatic advice to open and honest conversations it has been a pleasure to work with Gothic Estates throughout the process they are an example to the industry and a rare gem.

31st Mar 2025 (11 weeks ago)Express agency. Took a long time to advertise my property. Poor quality viewers and don’t seem to be vetted properly, had to provide Own photos and deal with viewings myself and yet charged the 1.5% commission rate. Valuation completely innacurate and had to lower the price twice due to unfamiliarity of the local market. Never will i go for an online estate agency based in the north. That aspect of it should not be allowed. Potentially wasted 2 months of mortgage without rent due to poor level of standards from EXpress Agency. Had my house to sell as well and told them outright, I would never consider them again.

6th Jun 2025 (8 days ago)Coming from someone who also works in real estate, and who had previously had this flat on the market from another local agent, Wellington Evans are brilliant and are by far the best choice in the area. We had a flat to sell that wasn't getting significant interest with the other agent and in hindsight, the advice and execution from Wellington Evans (we dealt with James) was nothing short of perfect. It had gotten to a point where we needed to sell as soon as possible and we went from viewing to completion in just over a month and a half - this would have only been possible by finding the correct buyer, which Wellington Evans did. I also very much appreciated the honesty on both ours and the buyers side - from what I could gather, James had gone above and beyond to make sure all the facts were clear on both sides of the deal, which for me is how all estate agents should operate. If you are looking for experienced estate agents with integrity in the Hitchin area, these are the go to people.
