From the first visit the research, enthusiasm and effort he injected was head and shoulders above his peers. Throughout the whole sale process David has been communicative and generous with his time offering advice and being a sounding board for thoughts and direction. Genuinely felt valued. He has worked 7 days a week, often responding to emails outside of business hours in order to secure a sale. In a world of increasingly faceless customer service, chat bots and online portals, I thoroughly recommend and value Chandlers service, knowledge and personable interaction.

Grant was more than helpful in navigating the buying process for us as first time buyers - no question we had was too much, and if he didn’t know the answer would quickly find out. Grant and the team were great with communication returning calls when promised and always at the end of a call/text when needed, their professionalism and knowledge has been greatly appreciated throughout and we always felt that they had us covered. Grant was always on the ball emailing/calling and chasing to get us moved on the time scale we wanted keeping us updated throughout. Thank you to you all!
24th Nov 2023 (9 mo. ago)Bradley Cooper, the branch manager, was incredible. He booked viewings for me back to back so he spent a few hours with us for a day visiting the houses in the area. He was honest, insightful, very helpful, and knowledgeable. Can't rate him high enough.

Every person we have spoken to has been professional, friendly, efficient and kept us up to date clearly at all times regarding where we were up to. A really brilliant estate agency and I would recommend to anyone. Sasha in particular has regularly gone above and beyond what she had to do and has been brilliant.

Nothing is too much trouble and they supported us all the way through the process of buying and selling. They were always very easy to contact by phone and emails were always answered very quickly. 27th Sep 2023 (11 mo. ago)First Step used to be the go to agents in the local area, they seemed honest and transparent. From my experience this is a thing of the best with them. There are many agents in the local area now who are much better then First Step, they will look after you and are much more sincere. My advice would be, dont just go with them, give all the others the same opportunity, remember First Step excel in talking the talk, but once your signed in, they dont walk the walk. Think is all I advise anyone.
7th Sep 2024 (6 days ago)Took my time to write a covering letter and application for a property, but turned out the property was already let and they had not bothered to remove it off the website. They did not even have the courtesy to reply to my application and let me know the property was already let and still to this day I have had no reply. The only reason I found out is because I called up anonymously asking about the property and was told it's already gone. After that call it was still up for a few days so I made another enquiry (not as myself) and that is when they finally bothered to take the property down. Find this really unprofessional and unkind to just ignore people and not even say thank you for your enquiry but unfortunately the property has already been let, apologies that the website was not up to date, etc. I took hours writing my covering letter and application and all that time had false hope that I potentially found the new home of my dreams only to find out they were just not proactive enough to take it off their own website or Rightmove and Zoopla. Really upsetting and not impressive at all. I am not sure the role of estate agents, but I always thought they were here to help you find a home, so I am just surprised they didn't email back any suggestions of other properties they have or put people on a shortlist of people that are searching for homes. I guess we are all just numbers these days because they probably have a million and one enquiries and no properties. Oh well.
21st Sep 2023 (11 mo. ago)We initially engaged with Taylor’s when we saw a house they had advertised on Zoopla. We met with Connor, Molly and Chris who all helped us through the purchase of our new property. If it wasn’t for them, we would not have managed to exchange and complete so so quickly. They were always really helpful with the hundreds of questions that we had (being first time buyers). Definitely recommend.

26th Apr 2024 (20 weeks ago)They tied me down to a contract and wanted to charge me £750 to get out of it even though I was within the cooling off period. I had a change of heart literally the next day and they didn’t let me out. After that, communication was so so and I only got three viewings in the whole duration.
15th Aug 2024 (29 days ago)Had a wonderful experience with the Haart sales team in Stevenage with the sale of our house. Would highly recommend the team who work great together and get results! Adam Smith, Andrew Rogers, Marley Hamilton and Gemma Allen. Called three agents to get valuations. The person you first speak to at any business sets the tone and Marley set the tone perfectly from my initial call, asked all the right questions at this initial stage, knew the local market and had direct comparables to hand and was very personable. I was pretty much sold at this point! Andrew valued the property and again set himself apart from the other agents we invited in. Direct, professional approach with relevant comparable properties recently sold in the area. He could back his valuation which was higher then the other agents, and was very clear on the marketing strategy and approach that he and the team use to get the best results for the vendor. I knew they were the right agency for us! Once we gave them the instruction to market the property the machine started moving. Photos were taken, the property went live on all the portals within days, the team previewed the property and had viewings lined up immediately. The perfect offer was received within five days of marketing which we accepted. During the conveyancing process Adam kept the momentum going and really pushed for the exchange and completion within the time frames we had initially given. The purchasers conveyancing team was a little slow at times but Adam kept the line of communication open and got it across the line. I want to say a massive thank you to the Haart team in Stevenage…. We can now move on to our dream home and for that we are very grateful! If you have a property to sell in the area this is the agency you should use!- 25th Jul 2024 (7 weeks ago)Brilliant service delivered by the whole team, no ask too big. Their professionalism, service, attentiveness, responsiveness and attention to detail is more than I ever thought I'd get from them as letting agents. They put in effort with viewings and found a great tenant for my house. I'd advise any landlord going with them. There is a reason why they have the best Google reviews of any lettings agent in Stevenage!
26th Jun 2021 (3 years ago)If you are selling your house in the Arlesey area, in my opinion, you would be mad not to use Gothic Estates. They not only have the lowest fees they give by far the best service of any estate agent I have ever bought or sold with. I never had to chase them once for information, they were always keeping us up to date throughout the process. I can honestly say if it were not for them chasing solicitors up and down our chain there is either a good chance our chain would have fallen apart or we would have moved many, many, weeks later than we did. From great pragmatic advice to open and honest conversations it has been a pleasure to work with Gothic Estates throughout the process they are an example to the industry and a rare gem.

From the very beginning, they demonstrated professionalism, dedication, and expertise that put us at ease throughout the entire process. Selling a house can be stressful, especially when it takes a very long time to complete (notwithstanding them getting us multiple offers and finally completing with one above asking price). We had an extremely difficult property to sell. But Nick and James made it as smooth as possible. Their communication was impeccable—they kept us informed every step of the way and were always available to answer our questions or address any concerns. We truly felt like we were in the best hands, and I can’t recommend Nick and James more highly. If you’re looking to sell your home, do yourself a favour and get Wellington Evans onboard.
