18th Mar 2024 (6 weeks ago)We used Savills Exeter to sell our residence in North Devon. The process was very smooth from start to finish, especially impressive given a challenged trading environment and interest rate uncertainty. We achieved our target price with a very harmonious closing process. I think both the Buyer and Seller should equally feel good about the transaction, facilitated in no small part due to Savills Exeter. Of particular note was Chris Clifford's professionalism and exceptional communication skills that went above and beyond - a great comfort to my wife and me. Recommended.
10th Feb 2024 (11 weeks ago)Unfortunately Shortland Horne had my property on their books for 19 weeks and only managed to secure 2 viewings in that time frame One of those viewings was a buyer that could only offer £30k below the asking price due to mortgage restrictions I was advised to reduce the price by £10k but this still didn't yeld viewings or offers despite the property being completely renovated with no chain I was impressed with the pitch when choosing an estate agent and chose Shortland Horne over others but the reality of the selling process has not met expectations
30th Oct 2020 (3 years ago)Really excellent. We had very good advice on the best things to do to make our property appealing to prospective buyers. Miles Kevin was proactive in finding viewings and we sold our house in a week.
8th Apr 2024 (22 days ago)Offer to buy a house was accepted and it was up to our surveyors to highlight a Grade 2 listing. Whilst Knight Frank ‘empathise’ we are at considerable out of pocket expense. Property now correctly advertised as listed and whatever the background of who claims what, the agent is expected to have carried out due diligence to confirm facts of what they are marketing. Knight Frank Exeter blame their customer and empathise with potential buyer where legislation states an agent must disclose all information before costs related to surveying or conveying are undertaken. However, this shoddy outfit shirk all responsibility; what a reflection of where we are in todays world. Referring to ombudsman as customer service are running on pastoral ‘empathy’ rather than address a problem where potential buyers remain considerably out of pocket. Our contract was with Knight Frank and their codes of ethics and standards where due diligence is the foundation. The Exeter office has failed miserably to address their duty of professional responsibility. Buyers (and sellers) beware! (investigation response was that "we didn't know, not out fault") With a pending county court claim all is resolved!

Applying for a mortgage again after 20 years, the process had changed so much. Fiona held our hands, filled me with confidence and kept me sane throughout. She is professional, knowledgeable and approachable and I cannot recommend her enough. Thank you Fiona from Julie and Andy

They helped us through every step quickly and easily. Any communication with them was done very efficiently. Luke and Naomi were great. Not often you can say any of that about businesses these days! Highly recommended.

They are not like other estate agents, they are efficient, pro-active, responsive and I honestly felt like I literally had someone 'on the ground' working for me given I am in London. Nothing was too much trouble and I never felt like I was just on a conveyer belt. They were absolutely the right decision for me and I would definitely recommend to others.
26th May 2022 (1 year ago)The unique service offered by Griffin has enabled me to complete a DIY sale of my home on the Internet using national property sale platforms as if I was the website. I listed my property at 8am and by 9.30am on the same day I was receiving emails from potential purchaser's. I well know the power of the Internet, but even I was surprised by the speed of it all. The Griffin team have the power to listen and assist you, I wish to thank the person at Griffin who originated this professional service and his team for doing a great job. If I ever need to sell a home in future I will immediately use the Griffin service and have been recommending them to family and friends. Thank you.

21st Mar 2024 (6 weeks ago)The Coastal House were a pleasure to deal with when I was looking for a new home in Dartmouth. Being very new to the area they were very helpful in helping me understand what I needed and were supportive and never pushey towards any particular property. They went out of their way to allow me to view properties at short notice as I had a limited time to complete my search and this made all the difference. Both the Dartmouth and the Kingswear office are brilliant at following up, making recommendations and ultimately assisting with the purchase process. I rather ambitiously aimed to complete before April back in early January and this has happened due to their relationship with the recommended solicitors and their willingness to chase and communicate between parties effectively.
25th Dec 2023 (18 weeks ago)Pilkingtn Estates were the first firm to give us an estimate incorporating a range of prices which could influence how rapidly the property achieved a sale. Their descriprion of the prooperty was entirely positive with no sense olf overselling it to potential buyers.
4th Dec 2022 (1 year ago)We chose Savills because they appeared to be the most efficient and proactive company we approached to sell our home. Unfortunately once we’d signed up, they weren’t reliable and didn’t communicate with us regularly. Phone calls weren’t returned, our agent was never available when we rang. Feedback only given twice in 6 months. We have now taken our property off the market until next year.
