25th May 2023 (2 years ago)Arrogance at the highest level! Was informed 24 hrs prior that my valuation had to be moved as a staff meeting was more important. Already booked the day off so fuming at the complete dis regard of this outfit. Completely unprofessional and extremely arrogant in my opinion!!!! Lesson learned!!!
14th Mar 2025 (17 weeks ago)I am certain that Tim Gover and his team got the best price for us for our cottage in Swaledale - and we agreed the sale within two or three weeks of first advertising. Their sales and marketing strategy really worked for us. They took excellent pictures, made a lovely brochure, advertised widely, and were very efficient with the viewings that took place despite the challenging approach to the property and time of year (winter). They kept me informed of all viewings, and all of their staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgable whenever I called the office. I appreciated that the person conducting the viewings was willing to help me turn on the heating when the LPG gas ran out, as I live a couple of hundred miles away. There were quite a few snags along the way to completion, but this was not their fault, and they gave us good advice. They recommended/organised decent local contractors such as tree surgeons and drainage companies. They were prompt in dealing with emails and requests from our solicitor and always took my concerns as a vendor seriously. Tim himself has a great manner, and is very reassuring to chat with. Ours was not a particularly expensive property and yet I felt we got a great level of service. The only negative, not worth losing a whole star over were that the decription of the property for the advertising was not as thorough as I would have liked - and I ended up rewriting it - but that has happened with every estate agent I have dealt with this year (selling three properties with three different agents) so maybe more to do with me than them! Huge thanks to Tim and all the team for getting the best price for our property in an efficient process!

16th Mar 2024 (1 year ago)This is not the first time we have used Blenkin&co. We encountered them when buying a house a few years ago and were impressed at their fairness in handling the buyer/seller balance. Hence tje decision to use them when selling. This last transaction fell at a difficult time and had some complications but they showed patience, persistence, courtesy and even humour. In brief, we trust them.

3rd Apr 2024 (1 year ago)Awful! When looking to rent a property you would think they would show all interest in assisting you. Sadly not, viewed a property two months ago, showed my interest. Chased 4 times via telephone in an update if the kitchen was fitted to have another view (as it wasn’t previously) to be told someone’s already now leasing it through them. Poor communication, attitude stinks, was told “well we are a busy branch” when I asked how they hadn’t informed me in 2 months as they stated they would in an email. Made to feel like an ignorance for having an interest in a property that we viewed. Which by the way had no kitchen in it whatsoever and wasn’t even warned on the pre viewing. Hence waiting 2 months for it to get fitted to view again. Absolutely awful - abrupt, rude and wouldn’t use

Ellie was was my go to, she was so friendly & professional, kept me updated at all times & was a breath of fresh air with her positivity. Ellie is an absolute asset to the company & I’m sure will go far with her lovely kind, genuine nature, she was faultless. I definitely received a 1st class service from all the ladies at W H Brown & am very grateful to them all for all their hardwork. Many thanks 5??????????

3rd Dec 2024 (7 mo. ago)Philip Proctor at Humberts, York makes the sometimes difficult process of buying or selling a property as painless as it can possibly be. He is an extremely experienced land agent who knows the market in North Yorkshire inside out, but he is also unfailingly enthusiastic and encouraging as well. Debbie, who runs the office is highly efficient and brilliantly helpful. Between them, everything is managed with great skill and old-fashioned courtesy. The firm recently sold a property for the family in Helmsley which sold quickly and well and we have another one with them. We wouldn't consider going anywhere else and cannot recommend Humberts, York more strongly. Absolutely 5 Stars from me, 6 if I could!
14th Jun 2025 (26 days ago)A nightmare from beginning to end. I wish I could go back in time and tell my naive, first-time landlord self to run (don’t walk) away from Ashtons. Feel free to try it for yourself but (unless you have a property portfolio) be prepared to be considered unimportant. Your emails will be ignored for months, they will tell you frankly bizarre lies along the way, and they will leave you out of pocket. If there is any contest to this review, I have email receipts to prove it. Get better Ashtons.

We have dealt with other estate agents within York and some have been disappointing and at times indifferent in their response Jodie was the first point of contact regarding our enquiry and it was refreshing to have a friendly and very thorough person dealing with our in initial flat requirements and were made to feel valued as a customer. He passed on this information to the colleague managing flat sales and Chloe contacted us within hours. We viewed a flat which was in a sought after area of York and met the requirements we had set out. Chloe greeted us on time and very obviously knew a lot about the area and the details of the property. She was very informative and knew the answers to the questions we asked and highlighted the particular high specifications of the flat. The flat was beautiful and one of the best we have viewed but did not meet our current needs. The customer service we have received was excellent and would totally recommend Ewemove. Helen Roper

We had 8 agents round to value our period property and Louise and Will were so knowledgeable, honest and friendly. We just knew they were the right agent for us. The house was marketed well, with great photos, and we got a good offer only two weeks after going on the market, with a completion within three months. Louise was a pleasure to deal with and kept us informed every step of the way. She is honest and reliable, has a wealth of experience, and made the entire process so easy for us. Louise is an absolute credit to the estate agency business and we would not hesitate to highly recommend Louise and the Prime Residential team. Thanks so much
