16th Feb 2022 (4 years ago)Worst company imaginable. Gave us misinformation for over six months regarding entry dates and also told us development was finished when it was not. Double check everything you are told by them. They misled us and we ended up over £18000 out of pocket. Avoid this company at all cost. They don’t admit liability for anything they do.
14th Dec 2025 (6 mo. ago)We have used Sturrock Armstrong and Thomson for our wills and for previous house sales and also when we moved house recently. Apart from a minor issue when our bid for a property arrived a few minutes after the deadline but was quickly resolved they were very good to deal with, kept us informed at all stages and were particularly attentive when we were arranging viewings for our house. Leonard and his team looked after us.
7th Jan 2026 (24 weeks ago)WARNING!! Richard murray acted as co executor having written my mothers will. He was not appointed by her but by her named executor. He sided and was partial to one group of beneficiaries over another. He chose the ones nearest the property of most help to him to side with, making his job easier. The family was fractured but he showed no ability to deal with this shutting down and refusing to engage with one side. Preferentially treating the other side. He went back on his legal advice reversing decisions that suited him. Including and implementing wishes he decided my mother made Verbally only to the one side of the family, the side he demonstrated favour with. When ‘wishes’ my mother had made to the other side were brought to him he dismissed them. Biased and unfair and cruel in his handling of the estate. Delaying the inheritance by permitting one beneficiary to live rent free in the property for some fourteen months post my mothers death. Not mentioned in the will, nor discussed. Between himself, his Company or my mother - but on the say so of the side he favoured! The implemented ‘say sos’ were decided without full disclosure or discussion or transparency and he was unaccountable in that He acted like a dictator refusing telephone calls , zoom meetings or email discussions. He dragged out a simple direct will into two years of hell, stress and unnecessary expense because he favoured and decided always in favour of one half of the beneficiaries over the other. Do not write a will with this Company. They have demonstrated they are incapable of writing one correctly , giving proper advice to my Mother , and incapable of implementing it as it’s written in any event. AVOID! It’s 2026 and there are still repercussions from Richard Murray @Connell&Connell’s mis writing and massive failures in executing our Mothers will. Save yourselves a whole lot of unprofessional and uncaring and biased,will handling and don’t use this man.

Although there were Googlemaps issues with my advert, he persevered with having Google fix the problem . His communication is excellent: prompt and courteous. The subcontractors he appoints for photography and home report are top quality. I would not hesitate to use his services again.

17th Jun 2026 (9 days ago)Aberdein Considine were great from start to finish. They were very helpful at every step of the way and made sure I was well informed. They used a mix of Telephone and email which was perfect for a busy person like myself. Valuation was accurate and there was plenty footfall in the property to see it go under offer. Great value for money and would recommend.

11th Mar 2021 (5 years ago)Not great - would not use again. Did nothing to find interested parties in first few weeks until I had to call a senior team member to complain... Not ideal - feel like they had too much work to handle mine at the time. Would have fathered they had just said they were too busy than wait too I was stressed and lost out on buyers.- 2nd Sep 2025 (9 mo. ago)I previously had dealings with Fraser Brooks during our property purchase, as they were representing the sellers. Although they were not acting on my behalf, I found the experience with them to be disappointing. Communication was often curt and, at times, came across as rude, which made an already stressful process much more difficult. From my perspective, the level of professionalism fell short of what I would expect from a firm of solicitors. While they may have fulfilled their role for their own clients, the manner in which they engaged with others involved in the transaction was poor and unhelpful. A prime example of this lack of professionalism is when I went to collect my keys. I had purposely gone after the lunch hour to avoid waiting about (the office is in city centre so parking is a nightmare) as I had been told multiple times lunch was 12-1. I was waiting outside the office for 25 minutes. Tried to phone them multiple times. No response. After 25 minutes at 13:25 the gentleman came strolling back in. No apologies for being late or keeping me waiting. When I queried about why he had been so late to return back to work he proceeded to become stand offish and rude. Based on my experience, I would not feel confident recommending this firm

I conducted the viewings myself with the help of a family friend but Urquharts made the appointments while consulting with us over our availability. Advice was succinct yet with the reasoning clearly explained.

They were extremely responsive when we asked questions and happy to explain any questions we may have. We also used them for our Will and we had the same, pleasure experience. Highly recommended.

Communication regarding invoices and payments has been very difficult, with repeated delays and the need for constant follow-ups to receive payment. This creates unnecessary stress and makes it hard to manage supplies and ongoing work professionally. I hope the company improves its payment processes and communication with contractors in the future.

From the start he felt like the right fit for us, easy to chat to and clearly knew his stuff. He took the time to understand what the place meant to us and personally guided us through everything without it ever feeling stressful. When it came to offers his advice was spot on and definitely helped us get the result we wanted. Throughout the whole process, it never felt like things were happening to us, we always felt part of it and in control.
