12th Mar 2026 (21 weeks ago)Savills were the letting agent for my property for about 6yrs after being bought by Area Estates. Savills do bare minimum with regards to repairs and maintenance. Camilla Kirby who recently left the company was lovely and made every effort to assist with the limited authority she had, sadly she was replaced by Rachel Bentley who is condescending, rude and quite frankly should not deal with the public in any capacity. Following a S21 notice due to selling before the new landlord rules come into affect in May, they attempted to charge £760 for removal of a fish tank from the loft of property despite it being in the property from the beginning of the tenancy and having no proof it wasn’t. She lied in a reference and stated that it couldn’t be changed as the director had approved it, and when I pressed her saying the reference was factually incorrect she stated “the DWP may be able to assist you with something in writing about your benefits”.

Holland Broadbridge stands out as genuinely the best we’ve worked with.<br><br>Everyone in the office has been incredibly helpful, responsive, and kind throughout our tenancy. We’ve dealt with Millie from the beginning, who has been wonderful, but everyone we’ve encountered has been so helpful. When a repair was arranged, the team went above and beyond - not only sorting the issue we knew about, but fixing an additional problem we hadn’t even expected. Little moments like that really show you the kind of team you’re dealing with.<br><br>Their contractors have been efficient and respectful too. It’s been a genuinely great experience from start to finish, and we’d recommend Holland Broadbridge without hesitation to anyone looking for a letting agent who actually looks after their tenants. They’re the best in Shrewsbury, and we feel lucky that they’ve made our experience of returning to this beautiful place so welcoming.

When we finally decided to sell Dawn Clarke, Lettings & Property Managing Director at Nock Deighton introduced us to the Landlord to Landlord sales platform, and guided us through to a successful sale. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Nock Deighton Lettings Telford as the ‘go to’ Agent.

It all went through within a couple of months and would probably not have happened without the skills of Annabel Fearnall and her colleagues at Barbers Rural. We made enquiries from several agencies including well-known nationally-recognised firms, but Barbers Rural was by far the best with their intimate knowledge of the locality. There was really no contest and the result of the sale is testimony to that. Also, theirs was by far the most reasonable cost. We have nothing but praise for and thanks to the firm for their professional standards and for the manner in which they prepared our house for the potential limited number of purchasers. We were always confident that Annabel was on top of the situation and was working in our best interests. We can thoroughly recommend Barbers Rural - we couldn't have done better.

Alongside the clear advice, deep expertise, willingness to discuss options as the process evolved and their consistently excellent communication, we felt at every step that they were truly prioritising my parents' interest, rather than simply trying to close a sale. Steve came round and had an honest talk with me about what I wanted to achieve with my move. Yes I lowered my price but not by much. Weekly touch base calls and serious viewers only. Great communication throughout and a special mention of Emily who has been so supportive and worked so hard to get the deal over the line. Many thanks

The office team provided us with regular updates, prompt support and advice. It was a fairly drawn-out process as the chain was long and complicated but it all completed successfully on the appointed day. From the initial booking of the evaluation, to their marketing expertise. All the way through to bookings and viewings. They have been amazing! Sales progression have been great. Pushing the sales along when we thought it had stalled!
