30th Aug 2022 (1 year ago)Recently purchased a property at auction with Hammer Price Homes. I was a little sceptical first about buying a property via an online auction but was really surprised and happy about how easy it was. I liked the transparency of the auction and felt that it tested what the actual market value of the property was rather than the usual process of placing offers through an estate agent. The additional benefit was that we had time to arrange a mortgage. We had 3 months following the auction to complete and Michael at Hammer Price was great to guide us through the process and answer any questions. We completed 2 weeks ago and have began renovations on our new house last week!
3rd Apr 2024 (16 days ago)I have had a brilliant service from Carter Jonas Team - Special thank you to David Sinclair for showing me my new home at a last minute request and amending my tenancy paperwork quickly, to Celine for liaising with referencing for a small hiccup, and Grace Wilson for her input throughout the process. There may have been some hiccups, part of the nature of moving, but they were very hands on and rapid acting to smooth out the process for me!
16th Mar 2024 (5 weeks ago)This is not the first time we have used Blenkin&co. We encountered them when buying a house a few years ago and were impressed at their fairness in handling the buyer/seller balance. Hence tje decision to use them when selling. This last transaction fell at a difficult time and had some complications but they showed patience, persistence, courtesy and even humour. In brief, we trust them.

3rd Apr 2024 (16 days ago)Awful! When looking to rent a property you would think they would show all interest in assisting you. Sadly not, viewed a property two months ago, showed my interest. Chased 4 times via telephone in an update if the kitchen was fitted to have another view (as it wasn’t previously) to be told someone’s already now leasing it through them. Poor communication, attitude stinks, was told “well we are a busy branch” when I asked how they hadn’t informed me in 2 months as they stated they would in an email. Made to feel like an ignorance for having an interest in a property that we viewed. Which by the way had no kitchen in it whatsoever and wasn’t even warned on the pre viewing. Hence waiting 2 months for it to get fitted to view again. Absolutely awful - abrupt, rude and wouldn’t use

No proper feedback on viewings and when requested a price decrease on line it wasn’t actioned on the first request then actioned on the second but got the price wrong. Not a great start- 17th Dec 2021 (2 years ago)We recently purchased a property through Savills that should have been a smooth process based on a small chain however for various reasons outside our or the buyers control it was far from it. Hayley was an angel and acted to keep our sellers calm and ensured we finally reached a completion date. Would absolutely return to Savills if we are brave enough to move again in the future!

From the very beginning, their communication was polite, professional and always prompt. As it reached completion, I felt like they were celebrating along-side me. It’s evident that the individuals at Cundalls are truly committed to their work and to their clients. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone in need of a real estate service.

Additionally, there was not one cocksure young individual in a skinny fit, shiny suit. Excellent service and a genuine pleasure to deal with. Thank you to Nick and all the team for their help and patience.
9th Mar 2024 (6 weeks ago)If you’re thinking of letting your property through Cowen’s, don’t. Our property was an 18 month old new build and in excellent condition when we decided to use Cowen’s as our letting agent. Three tenants have rented the property since 2018 with the last one moving out in December, 2023. Cowen’s “inspected” the property after each tenant and sent a report stating that the property was in good condition and let the tenants leave with their financial bond. When we regained access to the property we discovered a huge amount of damage and unauthorised (bad) decorating, removal and installation of fixtures inside and outside the property; too much to list. The three worst were: fitting an aftermarket central heating control to the boiler, replacing the perfectly working original, which we will now have to pay an engineer to remove. Second, a Sky dish was in stalled with cables running through the house. Third, one of the tenants had drilled through a central heating pipe in the living room resulting in a bodged paperback book size hole which was covered over with a mixture of Pollyfiller and cereal box cardboard! There is much more, ALL of which was not authorised by the owner and NONE of the damage and unauthorised removals/installations was picked up during the “inspection” by Cowen’s. If Cowen’s had compared the before and after photos they could easily have seen the many faults and unauthorised work. When we complained, Mr Cowan came to inspect the property himself and claimed it was “wear and tear” and fine to re-let! He did offer to repaint the walls back to their original colour but only if we re-let the property with them again, which we will not do. We are now over two months and many pounds into repairing the property before we sell it. Very unprofessional of Cowen’s letting the tenants go with their bonds which is supposed to be retained to compensate the owner if the property is not returned in the same condition as when they started renting it. 26th Sep 2023 (6 mo. ago)On valuation day as Jo was leaving she said "I will sell your house" and my goodness me 4 weeks later she did. We had been with another local agent and had not heard anything from them for weeks no contact and no viewings. Went on with Jo and the team and wow within a few days the phone was ringing with viewings. A couple of offers forwarded ( one had to sell) and bingo we were sold. After sales simply excellent kept updated throughout. Ayshea and Kirstie were brilliant cannot fault them one bit. Well done |Jo and the team well done Boutique Property Shop.
