30th Apr 2026 (6 weeks ago)We had a very good service from Sandy Carter at the Chalfont St Giles branch when we bought our house in the village. We particularly liked the village and Sandy was very knowlegeable about the area also living in the vicinity. The 4 bed detached house that we bought had been empty for awhile and needed a lot of work however Sandy highlighted the potential and shared our vision. From our first viewing to our completion Sandy kept us updated and was proactive in following up solicitors on both sides and ensured that there weren't any unnecessary delays. We are very happy with how everthing went and are looking forward to showing Sandy our house once its is fully refurbished.
31st May 2026 (14 days ago)I would be very reluctant to place my trust in them again. We recently made an initial offer on a property, which the estate agent described as ‘putting us up there’. In hindsight, that phrasing was quite misleading. It gave us the impression we were already the highest bidder when that was apparently not the case. Despite this, we responded positively by increasing our offer, ultimately making it the highest — the seller later then indicated that we were not ‘committed’ enough to the sale, citing our initial lower offer as the reason. We had provided all requested information promptly, were in a very strong position (chain-free with a substantial deposit ready), and believed we had demonstrated clear commitment by raising our offer. This experience left us feeling the process was both puzzling and unfair. It is disappointing when a higher offer is ultimately turned down based on subjective justifications relating to an earlier bid, which I still find hard to believe. When I later questioned how another offer had been accepted so quickly and how the process had moved forward without our knowledge, I raised concerns that there may have been some impropriety favouring the other party. This was met with an extremely aggressive reaction: the estate agent banged his finger repeatedly on the table in an attempt to intimidate me while raising his voice. The other agents present sat back and watched without intervening giving the impression this was ordinary behaviour within this branch and scenarios like this happen all the time here.

I deal with various agents all over the country incuding london where some agents dont even pick up phone or respond to e mails. Jeremy and his team are thorough, reliable and have a real sixth sense for what they do.
4th Jun 2024 (2 years ago)Slow to give feedback on viewings. I had to chase after a couple of days but improved when I complained. Some rushed viewings . One agent arrived and said it had to be quick and she had asked the buyer to come earlier. Another told a late buyer asked to come at 8.45am on arrival that they only had 15 minutes so it would be a quick look . We were told they had a large database of buyers but I wonder if just relying on the property listings and their database algorithms to find people was enough. They did offer us a premium listing months later when I asked what else could be done and this generated viewings . Unable to arrange one second viewing and blamed staff absence for not contacting the buyer when I rang up a week later and the buyer did not return their call. People not getting back to them happened a lot . We were never shown any evidence of their contacts with people . It's a shame as they understood the market and provided a lot of information about why viewings were sparse due to external factors.Pleasant staff with good local knowledge. We gave them a long period as it was a tough time to sell but did decide to find another agent in the end as they did not seem that proactive .
2nd Jun 2026 (12 days ago)As buyers, we found Robsons to be inflexible and unprofessional. We were chain-free, serious buyers in a good position, looking at high value family homes. As we have two small children and both work full time, we were somewhat limited as to when we could view houses. However we managed to arrange it so that we could spend a few Mondays in the area, without kids in tow. There were several houses we wanted to see with Robsons but were informed (rudely) over the phone that Mondays simply weren't possible as it was their admin day. We were eventually given one viewing late on a Monday. The agent turned up late, with a cigarette dangling out of the window, struggled to find the keys and then gave us a very surly tour. We never got to see the other houses that we were VERY interested in, and ended up buying in a nearby village through a different estate agent. I'm sure demand in Amersham is high enough that they do fine, but I was shocked by how unhelpful they were given how keen and able we were to buy.- 31st Oct 2022 (3 years ago)We have just completed our house sale through Robsons and are very pleased with the outcome. All the team at Robsons have been fully committed from the beginning. We must say a special thank you to the sales progression team who went the extra mile and pushed the sale along, especially in those moments when it looked like things were slowing down. A few judicious emails and phone calls soon had things back on track. We would certainly recommend Robsons

Ours was a complex case but Ian & Denise’s support made every step hassle-free and resulted in an outcome that was best for all. The whole team’s communication and professionalism throughout has been outstanding and we cannot recommend the firm highly enough!

13th Apr 2024 (2 years ago)2023 was a difficult year in the housing market. Wye were relentless trying to tempt a buyer for our property. Yes we did have to drop our price a little, but that was the only way to sell! There were very few properties to look at, but Wye took on board our wish list, found the house (before it was even on the market) and even found a property for the vendor to complete the chain! We ended up in a very large chain, but Wye navigated us through with barely a hitch. 9th Aug 2018 (7 years ago)We originally let our property through Binks and the service they provided was brilliant. Having moved the property away from another local agent, we needed a managing agent to find good-quality tenants and look after the property. They did, like it was their own! Moving a few years forward, this family owned company have been lovely to deal with and have really ensured they exceed our expectations. Not only have we dealt with their lettings department but also their sales team. The Binks Sales team were equally brilliant! They were very attentive, knowledgeable, supportive and really helped us get through the sale. We experienced a very tricky sales market and complicated chain. Thankfully they were with us every step of the way and have now completed. Great job and thank you again!
3rd Jun 2026 (11 days ago)I rented a flat through Hadlands which was managed. The property manager was courteous at all times and acted promptly to ensure any issues were resolved in a timely manner. The maintenance man was knowledgeable, efficient and very polite. I was notified in a timely manner about anything to do with rental/lettings details which ensured I was able to comply with requests easily and efficiently. 11th Jun 2026 (3 days ago)I had a viewing booked for a property which was around 40 minutes to get to from my previous location. However, i arrived 15 minutes early and waited to be seen. I was there for 45 minutes, called and emailed the agency several times and left voicemails, knocked on the property but still no avail. They left me to stand outside a property, and to make it worse, no one messaged after with an apology or explanation. Do not go with agency, unprofessional is an understatement

5th Mar 2026 (14 weeks ago)I'm still waiting to hear back from an email sent over a week ago , and that was already chasing an unmet promise!! I needed one small thing repaired in the whole letting period. Was still waiting weeks later. Eventually got it fixed myself in two days for less than half the quote House Shaw finally got for me. Will use another agent next time.
