10th Apr 2026 (26 days ago)Things were perfectly fine at the start, but the tone shifted quite noticeably by the end. Once I handed in my notice, it felt like I was just something to move along quickly, simply because I was no longer a customer. The end of the tenancy came across as rushed and a bit impersonal, which made an already stressful process more so than it needed to be, and ultimately ruined what had otherwise been a good experience renting with them. Overall, not the best - but glad that's no longer something I have to deal with.

Both staff were super friendly and helpful, really good communication and they made the process so much easier than experiences we've had in the past with other agencies! Jess personally called me to understand my preferences and what I was truly looking for in a property. While she covered the usual questions, it never felt transactional—she genuinely wanted to understand our needs, not just whether we could afford something. She then arranged a meeting with a mortgage advisor to give us a clear picture of our budget, followed by a full day of viewings tailored to our preferences. I haven’t experienced this level of care and attention anywhere else. They made the entire process feel smooth and personal, and thanks to their support, we found our beautiful home exactly as we had hoped.

There were no ‘extra’ charges for services e.g. 360 room tour; as we have experienced with an other estate agent. Their eagerness to sell our property, attitude and communication were top notch - and a special mention to Bethany. Extremely happy with the service we’ve received.

18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

From the very beginning, the team were professional, responsive and incredibly helpful. They made what can often be a stressful process feel smooth and straightforward, keeping us informed every step of the way and always being available to answer any questions. A special mention to the staff for their friendly and approachable manner, especially Sandra Baughan — nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and they genuinely seemed to care about making sure everything was right for us. The whole experience, from viewing the property through to moving in, was handled efficiently and with great attention to detail. It really gave me confidence that we were in good hands.
