8th Aug 2024 (5 weeks ago)Leaders in general have been the best lettings agency I’ve dealt with in Derby, but I’d specifically like to talk about my experience with Leah Bostock. I have been going through an extremely difficult time recently, being faced with stress from every possible angle including that of having to leave my property and move to another city. Without going into detail, Leah has been an absolute rock in guiding me through this difficult process and showed so much support and kindness that you would never expect from a stranger. She’s been so patient and understanding, took it upon herself to take care of all the bureaucracy side of things on my behalf and offered warmth and support through every step of the way. I know that to her I might be just another tenant, but to me she will always be a Good Samaritan who helped me through a really difficult time and I really wish more people (and agents) were like this. Thank you so much Leah! ( and Leaders, this lady deserves a raise!).

3rd Sep 2024 (9 days ago)We lost 31000 by using the modern auction method, on their original valuation. The modern auction in England, unlike Scotland work ps in reverse. Do not be persuaded into using this method. They seem to favour getting the lowest price for the buyer, as opposed to maximising money for the seller. As we live remote from the property, we entrusted their expertise, and professionalism, to look after the property in our absence . However, on visiting the property for insurance purposes, we found the toilet had been broken, it was full of excrement, and stale urine, there was damage to model boats that had been left, and a Leatherman tool that had been left was missing. When a complaint was made the Ilkeston branch manager. Her excuse was. “One of your neighbours, must have come in and used the facilities, and taken the opportunity to remove the tool“. I hope I never have to use Rightmove again. Either to buy, or sell

1st Aug 2024 (6 weeks ago)All in all, blundells were incredibly poor throughout. Altering things without our say so. Poor communication throughout sending me to do viewings and telling prospective buyers different days and times to me causing frustration. I understand the main problem maker has since left and thank goodness. We ended up being persuaded to go down the modern auction route and as a result, received much less that we would have liked.

2nd Sep 2024 (10 days ago)Our new student house with Nicholas Humphreys had a fair amount of dust, cobwebs, and a previous tentants sock. After consulting this with the agency, they told us the house was 'completely habitable'. This seemed as though they were disregarding the situation. Responses from them have been taking longer than 10 days, with follow up emails needed to get a response. EDIT: After 27 days from the initial email, our issue was resolved swiftly by another team member, who sent a clear and satisfactory update on the changes made. It seems that the lack of communication was the main issue.
27th Aug 2024 (16 days ago)Although staff were pleasant at all times, the management service was not good. There were costly errors during the tenancy, communication wasn't great either. We have received an apology for these. We are grateful to the agency for finding new tenants, but in light of our experience, have decided to manage the property ourselves- 24th Jul 2024 (7 weeks ago)It’s good to see a 4.9 review rating so I’m surprised that I experienced less than satisfactory courtesy when I enquired about the square footage of a property only to be told it is not something they have details of! I was not offered a brochure at the time, which gives measurements, the request was declined to add them up and it was suggested I ask the vendor at the viewing! During my initial enquiry to the office about the property by phone, the background noise by other members of staff was so loud I had trouble hearing my conversation. Hattie’s valuation on my property was very efficient.

16th Aug 2024 (27 days ago)My whole experience with Staton Mortgages was absolutely incredible and I would not have gotten through the house buying process. At my first appointment Clare spent over two hours going through the whole process with me making sure I understood everything as a first time buyer. My house buying process was not straight forward and had a few bumps and both Clare and Emma supported me every step of the way, even after my mortgage was offered they still continued to provide support, answering every silly little question I had!
