21st Oct 2024 (22 weeks ago)Review relates to property management and their dubious billing / service charge practice. Willmott's charged almost 3 times more for building insurance - when I asked they conveniently mention its the best price their broker managed to find yet i was able to get a like for like policy on open market for £11k less. Standard cleaning charges ~ £50 per hour, bogus charges eg removal of fire extinguishers that had already been removed a year before, £130 for placing no smoking sign, sending out contractors for a job that was not done properly in the first instances and then charging residents multiple times in the space of a year for the same job... an incompetent staff that changes the colour of your own front door without even asking for your consent presumably to drive up invoicing/extra management fees ... the list goes on. Strongly urge anyone that has Willmott's as their managing agents to look closely at your itemised service charge bills to avoid being over charged

I was really impressed as well with the mortgage consultation - Sarah was extremely friendly, and again professional and knowledgable. I would encourage others to use them for the same services.

The house needed some work and the fact that both executors lived in London made things more difficult. Ben gave a fair idea of price and secured multiple viewings over several months in a difficult market. He was always honest in his feedback, keen to update us and absolutely determined to help us sell. We completed in October 2024. I cannot recommend him too highly.
5th Nov 2024 (19 weeks ago)I have to give an amazing shout out to Oliver Tugwell who arranged my mortgage for me to buy my first house. Nothing was to much trouble for him and he was always available to answer any questions and queries. Definitely a 5* service that i would highly recommend.
11th Mar 2025 (10 days ago)We were actually recommended another estate agents when we first thought of selling our home however I had doubts this was not the right call as soon as I met Hayley from fox and sons. We met Hayley when we were viewing another house, and I found her personable and she really listened to what we were looking for and was able to then find us other properties of a similar description, I was adamant we would end up buying one of her properties. Our first month with another agent was not the best so we decided to move across to fox and sons and we were not disappointed with our decision. Hayley and Beth have been so kind, caring and professional throughout this process. Communication was always a big thing for me as I needed to feel confident that our estate agents were doing the best for us which Hayley, Beth and their team did. We were always given open and honest advice but they also took on board all our views which made working together really easy. We also went from having 3 viewings in a month (with a previous estate agents) to 3-6 each week just because they were regularly talking about our property. I would highly recommend fox and sons to anyone and wanted to say a big thank you for getting us through this process in time for us to buy our forever home.

There were several viewings booked within a day or two,and 2 offers. Sale price agreed within 5 days of the listing going live. Well done Connells, great service.

Specifically Vicky who we have been dealing with directly. She is extremely good at her job and anyone looking at using your move i would recommend her 100%

13th Nov 2024 (18 weeks ago)We first used Fraser Wheeler in Dawlish to sell a property there, at that time they were selling more properties than all the other estate agents in the area - we decided they must be doing something right. We were very happy with all aspects of the service. So when our Property needed to be sold in Exeter we went to Chris at Fraser Wheeler, we in fact dealt with Sam, he was so helpful and again our experience from start to finish was excellent. And by the way they sell more houses in Exeter than their competitors - not hard to see why!!!

18th Mar 2024 (1 year ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
10th Jul 2024 (8 mo. ago)The acid test of an organisation is not what happens when things go to plan, it is when they do not. The team at Stonebridge worked with us over a year to refurb our mother's flat to a high standard, having spent time to go over all the options. In spite of losing two buyers and a final one that also brought challenges, and with unexpected glitches during the refurb, throughout all this the entire team - whomever you dealt with - were reassuring, human, understanding, knowledgable and patient, when it would have been all too easy for all of us to lose the plot. We sold at a good price, and I was left feeling grateful we followed our instincts on first meeting Saylan and Peter that these were 'good people'. Much as I am glad it is all over, a part of me is sad I will not be in regular contact. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
