18th Aug 2024 (1 year ago)Very disappointed with our experience with Newton & Co. Poor customer service. Very difficult to get through to people when you really needed to, which created undue stress and frustration. Quite often we had to chase them up to get feedback following viewings.

10th Nov 2025 (20 weeks ago)Avoid Hills Estate Agency at All Costs!! I have spent the past year being over-promised and massively under-delivered by Hills. The experience has been nothing short of a disaster. There has been a complete failure in communication from start to finish. I was repeatedly given “estimated completion dates” that never materialised, followed by weeks even over a month of no contact whatsoever. Because of their poor advice, I am now over £2,000 out of pocket. The unprofessionalism is staggering. Staff openly discussed the seller’s personal finances, telling me the seller “had no money” and describing them as “an absolute nightmare customer.” Imagine paying Hills thousands of pounds to sell your property, only for them to bad-mouth you to the buyer. Completely unacceptable. Given this behaviour, it’s no surprise there are so many negative reviews online. I submitted a formal complaint and received a response from Charlotte today no empathy, no apology. If this is how a director behaves, it’s clear why the rest of the staff follow suit. If you value your time, your money and your sanity, avoid Hills like the plague!! Useless!!

This was simple and swift securing a sale within weeks. The legal side has been a bit drawn out but that is to be expected when complicated by wills and probate solicitors.

Abi was awesome from start to finish and was like a dog with a bone pushing our estate agents to get things done. Abi is clearly a very committed member of the team and we can’t thank her enough for her persistence in getting the purchase over the line. I would highly recommend Bridgefords Buxton.

17th Mar 2026 (11 days ago)After a disappointing start with no communication and the fact we wanted to move to another estate agent, we agreed to start again and have new photos taken and increase the visibility of the property. This resulted in more viewings however we did have to reduce the price of the property from what it was originally priced. It did attract more viewings but I felt we had to prompt the agents to get more done. They did eventually do everything that was required and sometimes we beyond what we expected.
