22nd May 2026 (27 days ago)Extremely disappointing experience with Slater Hogg & Howison Falkirk. My pregnant girlfriend and I viewed a rental property with them while preparing to start our family together. The property was lovely and the letting agent initially seemed very helpful and professional. We were told our application had been successful and that the next step was to pay £300 upfront towards the deposit to secure the property, with keys due to be collected the following Wednesday. Two days later, I received a call informing me that the landlord was no longer proceeding because Slater Hogg would not offer them a rent insurance product due to us being a young couple with limited credit history. Despite having stable circumstances, this apparently made us “too risky.” Naturally, we were devastated. We had already told family members, started purchasing furniture and white goods, and spent money preparing for the move only to have it pulled away at the last minute. To make matters worse, we were told the £300 refund would be processed shortly, yet days later we were still waiting. This directly impacted our ability to secure another property we had found. I even offered alternatives, including paying 3–5 months’ rent upfront and providing an extremely reliable guarantor, but was simply told “no.” I’m not even convinced these options were properly presented to the landlord. The whole experience felt incredibly unfair, dismissive, and profit-driven. As someone who works within the property investment industry myself, I find this level of service and treatment completely unacceptable. I would not trust this company to manage investments or handle tenants fairly.

22nd May 2026 (27 days ago)I used Harper MacLeod services for my recent separation / divorce and firstly, can say that I can't recommend them highly enough! Divorce is a minefield for people who have never been through it but Harper (and more specifically, Grant) really reduced my stress load. All the legal jargon was cut through and things explained simply, making the whole process so much easier. Grant assisted me in getting a satisfactory outcome and I couldn't have done it without him and Harper. I am extremely grateful for the highly professional services the provided me and just speaking to me like a normal human being, with compassion and willingness to get the result you want. Harper will be my first point of contact, should i require legal services in the future and I honestly urge anyone to contact Harper, if they need Legal help, they won't let you down.

They have successfully handled everything from taking over a property that wasn’t in great condition, to organising repairs for pipe leaks, arranging independent inspections and managing ongoing maintenance. I particularly appreciate the clear monthly statements and communication, which make managing a property from abroad much easier. For overseas landlords looking for a dependable property management company in Glasgow, I would happily recommend R&G.

Not ideal - feel like they had too much work to handle mine at the time. Would have fathered they had just said they were too busy than wait too I was stressed and lost out on buyers.

From our initial offer right through to collecting the keys, Lynsey was professional, knowledgeable and exceptionally responsive. Throughout the process she kept us informed, replied promptly to our questions and always took the time to explain matters clearly, giving us confidence at every stage of what was a completely new experience for us. What impressed us most was her proactive approach. Whenever an issue arose, whether it was title enquiries, property alterations or coordinating with the seller’s solicitors, Lynsey was always one step ahead and focused on finding practical solutions while keeping the transaction progressing smoothly. 3rd Sep 2022 (3 years ago)Very unprofessional service from Corum especially in terms of the marketing materials. The floor plan they made was nonsense, the marketing text had clearly been thrown together and was riddled with mistakes (you would think an estate agent would know what is and isn’t a bay window?). I spent far too much time chasing them up to correct mistakes a school kid should have spotted. It’s clear they just want to collect their (fixed) fee for as little work as possible.

Craig, Megan, Laura and all of the team were extremely helpful throughout the entire process. By far the best property selling experience that we have had. 24th Jan 2022 (4 years ago)I can wholeheartedly recommend the team at Yates Hellier. From the start Ross explained the whole process very clearly and put my mind at ease. I chose Yates Hellier as I was impressed with their promises of a more personal touch than the larger West End estate agents and they did not disappoint. Ross and Lisa were very easy to deal with . They were in constant communication with updates and viewings. The whole process from marketing to viewings went incredibly smoothly. Even when my initial buyer pulled out at the last minute, Ross and Lisa swooped into action and found another buyer in a matter of hours! Ross and Lisa dealt with all aspects of selling my flat and clearly know their stuff. They were highly professional, kept in constant touch and we sold our flat for a price we were delighted with. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

The support through the entire process has been incredible and I can say that I have had a few setbacks in the process (outwith any control) however the team have navigated me through it. Special shout out to Sharon who without that support it would not have went the way it has. Anyone anywhere really should go with these guys! Thank you Gary and Sharon you have both been amazing and I will forever be grateful to you.

From the first meeting, I knew this was the right choice due to Scott's professionalism, knowledge and being really down to earth. We were unsure when we would actually put the house on the market due to us not finding anything to begin with, but Scott kept in touch with us and as soon as we were ready, he organised everything super quick and the house was on the market that week once all sorted! Our house sold within a week and this was down to Scotts work and Marc being amazing with the viewings. The communication has been next to none with constant updates and being available for any of my questions. Dealing with Scott and the team (Marc & Leanne) has been a fantastic experience and not at all stressful (as people tell you selling a home is!). Can't recommend them enough!
