19th Apr 2024 (2 years ago)I feel from the start they didnt do as said , putting up my house for the agreed amount, questioning me why I dont want to accept 1st offer on 1st viewing . Communication not so good, not friendly I wouldn't recommend again after using them twice previously .

Our house was on the market for about six weeks and we only had two viewings during that time, so in the end we decided to take it off the market as the experience wasn’t quite what we’d hoped for. One thing I didn’t like was that we met one estate agent for our valuation, initial consultation, and photos, but after that we never heard from him again. Instead, a different agent we’d never met carried out the viewings. This person didn’t know us or what we wanted potential buyers to know about our house, including specific details we’d shared with the original agent. We were disappointed as we expected the person we’d built rapport with to be the one doing the viewings
24th Apr 2026 (8 weeks ago)" In the first fifteen years of their existence Powell's Rural Surveyors have established an enviable reputation as the place to go for those selling property with land. So, in November 2025 I asked them to market my property in Monmouth with nearly half an acre of land. Sophie Pilot was my allotted contact at Powell's and in the period November 2025 to completion of sale in April 2026 , performed far in excess of my expectations. This was in respect to viewings, support and resolving issues with those in the chain. This was particularly important in the last week before exchange when real issues arose. She worked late, including weekends harassing those who were causing delays and ensured that progress was maintained. I would thoroughly recommend Powell's if you have a property with land to sell and Sophie as the person to handle viewings and deal with purchasers " Regards David Cummings

The communication is friendly but professional and I have confidence that this will continue as the sale progresses. Highly recommended!

She didn’t tell me what I wanted to hear, she told me what would maximise my chances of selling at a good price. I followed all her advice and sold at a better price than I’d dreamed of.

The property is an older building and had a few known issues that needed to be resolved before we could apply, and she kept us updated every step of the way. Even though the work took a longer than expected, she made the whole experience smooth by clearly explaining what was happening and what to expect next. Her communication and professionalism has been outstanding.

They were incredibly knowledgeable about the local area and made all costs clear right from the beginning, which I really appreciated. My property was off the market within two weeks of our first meeting, which speaks volumes about their efficiency and expertise. Although we had never met, face-to-face during the brief time of the transaction, it felt like we were family friends. They treated me with patience, respect and understanding... whilst maintaining professionalism throughout. If they were surgeons I'd feel 100% safe in their hands! I can't thank Deborah enough for all she did for me. A very trustworthy company, highly recommended
