My case was far from straightforward, with several complications along the way, but he handled everything with professionalism and confidence from start to finish. What really stood out was his ability to simplify a complex buy to let situation. He took the time to understand my circumstances, explained all available options clearly, and worked tirelessly to secure the right deal. Even when challenges came up, he was proactive and always one step ahead, which made a stressful process feel much more manageable. From the viewing, throughout the process (which was incredibly quick!) they have been absolutely fantastic! Simon and the team were brilliant and kept us informed throughout each stage! 1st Oct 2024 (1 year ago)Would recommend the team here. They were patient, responsive to my needs and very professional. Julie Burdett and Nicola Clegg were particularly helpful with my transaction and supported well by Julie Gomersall when Nicola went on maternity leave. Claire Midgley was also great as a post sale progressor. Despite us and our sellers doing a lot of the communicating directly (through our sellers choice) she was very helpful, attentive, efficient and knowledgeable when I needed her. All round a great personal service and I have recommended them to a number of friends, family and colleagues.

We received an extremely professional and friendly service from start to finish, with prompt updates, speedy telephone responses, thorough feedback and excellent advice. At no time did we feel pressured into making a decision or were left without reassurance. We were fully informed every step of the way, either by email, phone or in person. We have all been absolutely delighted with this superb, efficiently run family business and will have no hesitation in recommending them to friends and family in the future. Thank you to all those at Thomas Harvey for everything you have done for us. We are all very grateful.

10th Mar 2026 (8 weeks ago)Awful experience with keates estate agents. We applied for rental property with keates online and the link you have to use is through website is called "vouch". We got constant phone calls from "vouch" asking for us to set up bills for the property and asking for card debit card information. These calls kept happening even after we didn't get the property. 4th Mar 2026 (9 weeks ago)I had mixed personal reviews prior to my contacting Dourish and Day but I will NOT using them to sell my property as I'm appalled at the "it's not my job" attitude. I will be contacting the estate agency that sold my parents bungalow as they were proactive and cheaper fees! They refused to let myself, or my property agency, know the date/times of Dourish and Day availability for a valuation so an appointment could be arranged with my tenant. They also refused to make ONE phone call and contact the tenant directly as Dourish and Day had misunderstood what my tenant had said upon initial contact. My agent informed me that they have tried making contact but are awaiting a response from Dourish and Day which Dourish and Day have denied. When I requested an update this is the response "We will not move forward until they call us with the tenants availability for us to attend as it is their responsibility to clear things with them."
18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
