Julie Burdett and Nicola Clegg were particularly helpful with my transaction and supported well by Julie Gomersall when Nicola went on maternity leave. Claire Midgley was also great as a post sale progressor. Despite us and our sellers doing a lot of the communicating directly (through our sellers choice) she was very helpful, attentive, efficient and knowledgeable when I needed her. All round a great personal service and I have recommended them to a number of friends, family and colleagues.

4th Mar 2026 (7 mo. ago)I had mixed personal reviews prior to my contacting Dourish and Day but I will NOT using them to sell my property as I'm appalled at the "it's not my job" attitude. I will be contacting the estate agency that sold my parents bungalow as they were proactive and cheaper fees! They refused to let myself, or my property agency, know the date/times of Dourish and Day availability for a valuation so an appointment could be arranged with my tenant. They also refused to make ONE phone call and contact the tenant directly as Dourish and Day had misunderstood what my tenant had said upon initial contact. My agent informed me that they have tried making contact but are awaiting a response from Dourish and Day which Dourish and Day have denied. When I requested an update this is the response "We will not move forward until they call us with the tenants availability for us to attend as it is their responsibility to clear things with them."

Mike set up a WhatsApp group and enabled us to get in touch with our questions and Mike and Sian did a great job following up various parties within the chain and tying things together. 29th Oct 2026 (4 days ago)I would recommend Open House Estate Agents. They took great pictures and gave a thorough description of the house, getting our house on the market quickly. Personal service and excellent communication throughout the process. The only issue we had was when it came to the negotiation with our buyer for a price - we had to push back quite hard against offers that were below what we thought were acceptable. Open House were understanding when we raised this issue and it finally helped us reach a target price we were happy to accept. They are willing to listen to your needs.
